It literally said during the wedding that when someone else said Ines is beautiful and they didn't know, Carcel said she's always the same. He knew. He had always planned to be faithful AFTER marriage. Go read the beginning. He said it in ch2 before he even have the dream.

The funny part if Carcel haters thinking they can read and saying his actions so far were bad bc what? He slept around bc he's free to? Ines practically ignored him for over 10 years and he should've clinged to her? He's bad for letting himself live freely when she doesn't even care about him? If ppl want to use her past as an excuse that's fine, but you should know she was only unstable from 16-20 so what does that say about her whole life before 16? She was fine and ignoring him while also using him. I still suggest you better reread bc I can literally pull out lines to show you can't read.

You want to know why only novel readers seem to be defending Carcel? It's because manhwa readers let just ch1 of Carcel make them blind to the rest of the story about him. Novel readers know the whole story so we can read less bias than readers who hate him and read the manhwa selectively.

In their defense tho Carcel himself apologizes to Ines after he got "exposed" meaning he himself knows he was doing something he shouldn't have. And he was even baffled that Ines wasn't mad and threatening to break up the engagement, did Ines lead him astray into seeking out other women, yes, but Carcel also let himself fall into temptation which was bad and sleep with various women with the intention of never letting Ines know, also yes.

What matters is that he's faithful NOW because now they're married if he was still trying to lie and flirt with other women then he'd be irredeemable trash but he's not.

ALSO side note if anyone's disgusted with the ML for sleeping around technically the FL already slept with 3 men (although two were in her previous lives) and she's skilled enough for even her husband to think to himself "(oh she's skilled)" so hah

My opinions aren't that invalid when I can see everything in the manhwa is EXACTLY in the novel. I doubt ppl like you can change your feelings about Carcel bc he doesn't get character development. It's Ines in the novel that gets it more but the manhwa just cuts them out so everyone always think she right. Carcel only gets reveal more about his initial, true character that ppl been blind to all this time. They're not character development bc he's always been like that. If ppl hate him, they'll keep hating him bc the manhwa cuts a lot and don't care about showing both their true full characters. If you still can't see that he had always loved Ines and that Ines likes him already then anything after that will just random to you bc Ines will already accept Carcel soon. She can see his love and care and want to accept him, but haters can't see it and still hate him so the story is already moving along and what had these haters been readnig all along then that Ines can see it and they can't?
