That's the thing, she does not have her parents around.

But she have an uncle and he didn't do nothing.

He tried to stop her but as an uncle he can't really get too physical with her. I think they are not close enough for him to do anything more than verbally stop her, plus he's shocked and I don't think he is that used to handle kids.

How do you know it's her "uncle"? For all we know, he could be just a stranger of a friend or boyfriend or anyone that's not relative so if he slapped her as a non-relative then you know it's a crime.

For me, he's not really trying to stop her. I probably wouldn't like to see him slap her bc I think the only parents can do this but he could do something with more energetic. He's shocked with the slap not with the words how she said and I totally agree with you about he's not used to handle kids.

It's different from one person to another. It may not seem like he's trying to stop her but in his situation probably that was what he can do at that moment. The panel does not focus on him so we don't know how shocked he is with the situation and he only got his sense back when Fumi slapped her. Given all the factors, you can't blame him from just standing beside her stunned with the words coming out of that girl's mouth. Honestly, if I was in his situation, I'd probably do the same, I wouldn't know how to stop her and only realize what is happening after she gets hit, since I'm not used with kids.

No, no, I'm not blaming him, I'm pointing out that He could have deal with the situation in a better way.

I don't mean that you actually blame him when I said "you". I think he could have dealt with it properly if he had more experience with kids or if he was close with her, but he wasn't, unfortunately, he was really just there to attend in place of her parents and nothing else, not because he deeply cared for her. He was as shocked as Mio and Fumi did, so poor uncle. I feel bad for him, the stress must have been enormous for that guy.

He isn't literally her uncle. Uncle is how kids address older men. This appears to be a man her mother has married after a divorce and obviously the girl isn't ready to accept him as a father so she calls him oji san. I guess he could be her uncle, but that would mean her mom left the girls father for his brother.

Not all the time, IMO. Specially hearing such things for the first time from a child that young.

AHH, RIGHT!! He is her adoptive daughter. That's why he said daughter to Shun and I got confused when she said uncle but I forgot that the following dialogue from him was "I'm your Dad", however he did say "Right now.." so I still skeptical about it. Nevertheless, obviously he doesn't know how to handle Chiho and got a shock of his life witnessing a young girl babble spiteful words toward another child. Kids nowadays, ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
