here me out but i think it was a better decision to have this long ass flashback as season 2 instead of season 1 or a prequel. i feel like if it was the beginning, we wouldn't see ian as a different person from brian like we do now, or at least not to this extent. we started off with ian and acknowledged him as his own person, and now, ians going to be gaining (most likely, hopefully, ill kms if he doesn't actually remember) brian's memory and basically adding it to his knowledge.
but like if we started with brian then moved on to ian, it would be more likely that we think of ian as just the reincarnation of brian who has yet to gain his memories. yk? maybe i'm going off on a tangent but i think the authors decision was def the best.

i feel like we learned a little bit abt ian and who he was and his circumstances and now we're learning abt brian and sol's love for each other and WHY sol was adamant on finding ian and keeping (for lack of a better word) him. i feel like once the backstory is done we'll understand sol a lot better. we know how ian feels abt being mistaken as brian's replacement, so once sol'a perspective comes to light, we'll be able to understand how their relationship progresses. but this might just be me cause i do really like the backstory ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
haha if this ends how i think it will...sayonara fellas it was great reading this will not be returning now or ever
