I love me some big titties, heh. That boob window is peak hero costume.
Also, here come the new generation fujo comments and they're purist and morality bullshit

Sorry I've been reading bl/yaoi for like 13 years by now and the raising someone who becomes your lover thing is NEVER ok. Like bruh Idc how decent everything else about the story is, I wish it wasn't some "kid grew up to like his parent" bs . All I can do at this point is purge that part out of my brain but half the time authors will BRING UP FLASHBACKS DURING SEXUAL SCENES LIKE WTF. No needless to say I won't feel heartbroken if it takes eons up upload more chapters

Sorry but it’s pretty obvious you’re not part of the old gen, especially because you’re trying to flex your BL history. Back then, fujos just enjoyed BL in their own spaces and minded their business about problematic or taboo stuff, because fiction was treated like a sandbox where anything could happen without people acting like it reflected real life.
This is will and always will be the consensus between OG fujoshis and new gen fujoshis:
Old gen: "Problematic? It’s fiction. Move along."
New gen: "If this isn’t morally pure, it shouldn’t exist."

I say that bc yes I'm the type to move along. That being said, I'm not gonna sit here and be like yup that's totally normal in my head... people have freedom of speech obviously and newer generations recognize that the standard shouldn't have to be so weird. It's true that anything can happen in fiction, more so than in real life if we talk defying laws of physics. However, it doesn't change the fact that certain weird tropes are still a niche like for the real people that are reading bl/yaoi in general. I just pointed out how long I've been reading because I know what it's like to come from times where healthier gems were harder to find than now. I'm glad that the genre has ramped up in popularity because it leaves room for more creators to play with the genre in healthier ways. However, it doesn't change the fact that Yaoi originated as doujinshi, particularly playing on taboo topics. Heck I've read full on biological parent x son shit and despite it being an extreme take, it was well done and did it's job in exemplifying it. There are greek stories like oedipus complex for crying out loud. Doesn't mean that anyone should feel like in the swarm of it all, it's rare to find healthy stories. People are allowed to speak up as much as they are allowed to move along. I find it funny when someone chastises the new gen for simply having less tolerance for the taboo because OH YEAH, there are more actual healthy options now thank god. In the end I do prefer more healthy tropes to overused taboo shit having red over a 1000 bl/yaoi. That's just me being honest with my own preference.

And that’s fair. You’re allowed to have your preferences, and no one’s saying you have to personally vibe with every trope. The issue I was pointing out is less about preferences and more about how the culture around reacting to fiction has shifted. Old gen didn’t police content like it was a moral failing to exist, even if they didn’t like it. New gen tends to approach it from a 'this shouldn’t exist' angle when it makes them uncomfortable, and that’s where the difference lies.
I’m not saying people can’t speak up, but there’s a difference between saying "not for me, moving along" and trying to paint certain tropes as inherently dangerous just because they exist in fiction. Fiction's always been messy, weird, and sometimes uncomfortable and it should stay a space where all kinds of stories can exist, even if they aren’t for everyone.

Perhaps it's because I've always been very good at filtering stories just by title/pic that I'm not desensitized to the point that I simply accept ALL the crazy shit that comes up half the time in manga. Similar to movies, if portrayed in an artful way, even the taboo is enticing as it's own piece. These days tho, there's always stories here and there that you can tell they are just using a trope for the sake of having an origin to the end goal (some hot dudes getting down to it lmao). This def felt like one of those, considering the difference between this story and the author's other story on here. Like I genuinely would want to pick the author's brain a bit just to know why they decided on the trope. I'm a curious person and I definitely don't turn down the taboo if I feel like reading something niche, but sometimes I read a story and I'm like "why tho??" ( ̄∇ ̄")

Yeah in the end the only thing that serves that point is so long as the government doesnt start censoring things. It really isn't illegal and shouldn't ever be. I let that speak for itself more than paying attention to the karens. You're never not gonna pass by a Karen, esp when they can say something anonymously.

I worship Sunny topping more than ever now (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
