I wanted to like this so bad but it’s so poorly written I don’t know how to feel about it. The bottom is way too stupid for being a doctor and the naive idea of wanting to “change” a mafia boss is so overused is boring. The characters are poorly written and plain for the roles they were given.
I’m never one to complain about rape theme on dark stories. But the way the author glossed over the dark themes as comedy themes doesn’t sit right with me. What is this Dominic mf doing here like he never faced any consequences of ANY of his actions? Never addressed his fucked up grooming behavior, nothing? Nah. Skipping this side stories. I like dark stories. When they remain dark and you read it as a tragedy/drama with a side piece of BL. But when the authors try to turn dark themes into comedy it’s just pure lack of talent.

The character designs is soooooo pretty! I want to know who Kahim’s partners is though. I’m like the author’s mom. He’s definitely my favorite! I’ve been in the search of a BL with this type of bottom. I was dying of thirst after season one of Borderline ended and then I found this gem. Can’t wait to see more of Fabian’s development as an esper and how protective of Konrad he’ll become.

The top is clearly a bad case of bpd. And the bottom is right. How is he gonna give in and date the kid when the kid is so mentally unstable and unreliable. He’s a child. Only his body grew. But that’s a mentally ill child. The bottom will always be in a bad mental state too if he continues to be next to him. This is one of those stories where none of them are good to each other. And if there’s something that disappoints me greatly in BL is when the top is unreliable. I LOOOOOOVE younger tops. But when they know what they want, they are assertive and the older bottom can’t help but gravitate towards his younger top because of this assertive nature. This dude is nothing but a burden, the top. He’s sad, miserable, traumatized, manipulative. Will continue to drag the bottom down. Same as the golden place and pizza delivery man. The tops are so unreliable and pathetic that not even their appearances make up for that weak personality.
I remember the first time reading chapter 22 and I almost had a heart attack because I thought they were gonna switch and I fucking hate the idea of them switching. Thank god the author confirmed that Nanjo is a total bottom with Mokyeon. Otherwise the switching would have ruined this gem for me
I love LOVEEE yearner tops. But the plot has been so unfair to Geumsun. He’s spent centuries loving 704 and this love has prevented him from becoming the strongest Goblin. He’s barely hanging on and barely has any powers because he can only get his yang energy from 704 and he has only slept with him once after 704 was attacked. Imagine if, like other goblins, Geumsun slept around? He would be invincible. But first time I see that the love for someone makes them weaker instead of stronger. He lives and breathes for 704 but that same love has been holding his powers back his whole existence. This is why I love this story. You don’t see this level of devotion too often in BL. We always see tops killing and dying for their bottoms but rarely tops sacrificing their whole nature and potential for their bottoms.
It’s interesting how the bottom’s stubbornness was the one thing that awakened the beast. Since he was a gifted child, naturally intelligent and stubborn. He thought the world was his and that arrogance was the one thing that he passed down to the top as ambition and knowledge. It’s so interesting to see how the bottom was the one who created the monster. If he were more humble, the top would have never become what he became. So interesting! And also the top is the one who ended up bending that stuck up and stubborn nature of the bottom. It’s a full circle of consequences. From childhood to adulthood. So well written!

THE MOTHERFUCKING BITCH IS STILL VERY MUCH FREE? I can’t do this anymore. I hate plot armor for villains. Villains make sense when they, themselves alone, manage to get away with shit. But corruption theme is soooo common in Korea, authorities always protecting the villains is getting sooooo boring.
Plus, Heeseo kaboom himself with the bitch so we don’t even know if he’s alive anymore. And the brother caught Taekyung and now he’s gonna become obsessive and won’t let Taekyung go bc he’s convinced Taekyung is a victim of Heeseo and refuses to believe he wants all this situation with Heeseo and that he loves Heeseo (like many readers lmaooo) now I have to wait for another 3-6 months for season 3. I’m so tired of reading BL with these schedules. It’s not posible you have to spend more than three years of your life reading a story.

The situation of Hangil is pretty shitty. Imagine you’re stuck for life with someone so sick it’s like you’re taking care of a five month old for life. That’s so shitty. You have to waste your entire life to take care of someone sick? Could never be me. Might sound like a bitch but I would never waste my life taking care of my parents like that. For my child, yes, absolutely. But for a parent? That already lived their lives? Fuck that. Look at this dudes life. Miserable his whole life because of his zombie dad. I read this story in one day. And I agree with so many comments. The wholesomeness was so forced. Dominic was a disgusting bastard. He ruined one person to the point of no return and this person tried to do the same thing to Winter as a trauma response. In the last five chapters everything felt rushed and nonsensical. You’re telling me a bastard like Dominic, who raped and manipulated Raymon his whole life, suddenly gave up because Winter took the drug for him? Just like that? An obsessive evil character like him would have just taken Raymon and ruin him further. Especially with Jason there in the room too. But Jason suddenly turned into a good guy and helped Winter and then Dominic gave up on Raymon and left them live both a happy life? No consequences whatsoever for Dominic? Nah. This story started soooo good as a twisted dark story and by the end of it was absolutely slaughtered in an attempt to justify the love between Winter and Raymon when it was only psychological dependency result of so many years of trauma the both of them went through. It came full circle in a ridiculous way. I have mixed feelings about it. It’s like “A tree without roots” but if a 15yo wrote a bad fanfic about it.
