It's not really character development, it's more like he reverted to how he really was cause clearly, this is who he really is. His curiosity was quenched and he didn't expect it would hit him hard like this once it was quenched. He got something more than he bargained for but EH-
I really like the turn they took with the manga. It didn't continue the dark, rapey path which is a huge plus.

The only side story I didn't really like much was the one with Yumin cause his bf suddenly turned a 180 and acted all chummy after one single lame reconcilation. But this work was amazing, it tackled so much societal issues despite being goofy though only intially cause shit hits the fan FAST. THE GIRLS OF THE HIGHSCHOOL (except joohee and accountant sunbae) ARE ACTUAL SPAWNS OF SATAN THO WTF.

Alex is a psychopath that deserved to get killed, idgaf if he was hurt as a child, doesn't excuse the fact that he's a literal serial killer.
