I Am Trying to Divorce My Villainous Husband, but We Have a Child
16 (not subscribed) I just got stressed over the lack of autonomy the main character had in her situation.
I Tried To Be Her Loyal Sword
56! Interesting! I enjoyed this. The art is a bit jarring to see but you get used to it. The prologue was the worst of it, I think. K, so storylines:
- red haired girl (that's an entire lesbian right there): They're friends now.
- prince: she rescued him from an assassination attempt and he fell in love. They're friends now. His mother (his bio mom was the last empress who died, and the new one has a son of her own) regularly tries to assassinate him so her child can become the next emperor.
- pope: she used to help him out when they were kids, but he ended up shouting at her and she thought he hated her, so she left and didn't come back. They've become friends and they both have acknowledged their past but have yet to talk about it. Also, why the fuck has his hair and eyes changed from when he was a kid??
- the commander: the commander seems to be royalty from another country? But is sitting out of whatever is going on there and is serving as a knight of the empire right now.
Main character is a renowned mercenary named the Dark Calamity, Mir. She took on that job in order to raise money for her weak sister, and has ended up horrifically scarred as a result and doesn't seem to value her own well-being. She's an incredible swordsman, but has almost no stamina (due to relying on a HUGE pool of mana to operate and never being taught any different) and is shit at defense (because her mana has made it nearly impossible for anyone or anything to stand up against her). Right now, she's learning from the commander dude (who is in love with her) but it will probably be slow going. Her sister is wildly protective of her and adores her unconditionally. The main character would literally cut a limb off for her if that was what was needed. Her new brother is obsessed with her two, but I don't get the sense that it's romantic or anything between them so no worries there. The father JUST WANTS TO BE HER DAD AND IT'S SO FREAKING SWEET but he respects that she's not ready to go informal with him and ends up calling him 'father' instead of 'dad'. He dotes on her. In high society, she is a bit of an anomoly. High society seems to want to think ill of her, but with so many powerful people surrounding, supporting, and endorsing her, it's nearly impossible. She's got the queen of high society as her best friend and she's the owner and an INSANELY trendy fashion line that sells body chains and jewelry, so she's pretty set there. It seems like the main source of conflict will come from the complicated political climate as well as the upcoming arrival of some royalty from out of country. It's exciting!!!
Today the Villainess has Fun Again
Read to 55. I would like to continue this story, but I want to wait until more of it has been updated so I can binge it. As of right now, Lailin is trying to annul the engagement, the royal family is trying to discredit her in every way possible, and Iris has stolen the designs of her new business idea, the ball point pen. So I'll wait.
Emilone's Temptation Labyrinth
I don't think I'll continue with this one. The main character is refreshingly not an idiot, though.

There wasn't any reason why I didn't finish this except that I didn't want to start something with so little content. I like binge-reading. I enjoyed the unique art style, though!
I've Become A Crow
Read up to chapter 40. I have to admit, I found myself increasingly frustrated with the main character. She's worried about the main character of the original story coming and taking Karmeut away, but he wasn't the first or the only male lead of the canon. There's no reason she should have so many reservations. It feels a bit forced in terms of narrative tension. Like the author added it for an excuse as to why they shouldn't be together. But I feel like her uncertainty concerning her feelings is entirely enough.
My Father, the Possessive Demi-God
read up to chapter 12. Not sure if I'll continue this or not.
