I thought this was about a knight who serves his lady and she becomes the heir of the family(the young master, because empress when they become the head are called emperor, thought it was the same here) Not complaining though.
Don’t come for me i just read the title and went straight to reading it since summaries never tells you the plot
I can’t help but laugh at how so many fl think marrying will solve all the problems. I mean it always works but I wish they would deviate a little bit for this cliches
Might I interest you in this little comic then? She has zero goals of marriage, but instead to inherit her family's title. (from spoilers I read she does marry the ML later on, but only AFTER she's accomplished everything she set out to do)

This would’ve be a perfect story if only for their ages. He saw her grow up. That’s a little weird. I’ve read countless royalty manhwa and always ended up rooting for the knights. Knowing that it’s was only wishful thinking as the ml is usually someone of the same rank or higher as the fl. This coupling rarely rarely happens. That’s why it’s a pity. I’m still gonna read cause the story is good
Since the ml is the future king/emperor she’ll become the queen/empress. That means she can’t be the head of her family…..It kinda makes me feel a little disappointing tbh since the story is about her wanting to become the head of the family and prevent its fall. But then again she was happy just helping the family in her 1st life(technically 2nd but who’s counting). We’ll see. Hopefully it doesn’t end with her dropping all her goals and passion just for some boy
I’m around ch 14 and I feel like I skipped like 20 episodes. How, what, when and why? I mean I aint complaining that they’re starting to get along but didn’t it happened way too quick? I understand it’s been a month…maybe it was different in the novel
Update:
Now reading this the morning after I realized I may have been mistaken. It wasn’t that rushed.
Can we get something different for once!! Why does it always have to be the “fake marriage” or “contract marriage” tropes. It’s overuse, do something different cause fuck
I mean literally everything is overused lmao. “Nice girl is reincarnated as the villainess while the bitchy two faced girl is reincarnated as the heroine” “prince/emperor suddenly falling in love with the villainess after disliking her for a while but suddenly simping for her now.” “The villainess acts differently and suddenly everyone loves her.” All of those is overused and cliche but people love cliche stories. As long as the story doesn’t drastically change a character personality and goal, the story flow is good, and the characters looks are amazing. Then “overused” story plots doesn’t matter too much imo unless the story was overbearing and all over the place. But if you don’t like it maybe try finding a story that pulls you in and doesn’t have the same “overused” troupe.
Most of these stories are just a mixture of cliches because they're so popular, but I like the twist they added where the two girls that were reincarnated knew each other personally.
Like when you do couple things with your boy/girlfriend like how you do with your exes, cliche but we still like it, cuz it give as loves vibes.
My single ass cant really relate to this statement ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
What do you think of this as a twist?
"Hello, my name is Aroa Vanderbilt", and as the situation came to be I... Reincarnated. I was happy at first because when I looked in the mirror I saw a gorgeous person.
I was devastated to find out that I'm the villain from my favourite novel. You know those tropes, man meets girl fall in love two more men fawning over her unable to win her heart in the end. I'm not necessarily happy about it and I don't feel like doing anything about it.
If I don't do what the villains did in the novel what are they going to do? So instead of going out of my way to 'change' or 'survive'. Why not use the wealth I'm born with within this life for something I want?
Knock knock
" Aroa, it's time for lunch are you ready?" My brother Seth called out, it was usually a servants job but he preferred doing the job himself. Which shows how much he does on his little sister. I open the door and smile, as I am only 12, I should act like it.
"Yes? Is time already, I wanted to play more"
He shakes his head smiling, showing how handsome he is. I hold my hand up and wait for him to pick me up and when he does I giggle. Although it's tiring acting like a child, I always remember when I was in college wishing to be a child again, frowning every minute about how fast the time goes.
When I think of it as my wish coming true, I can't help but smile. He takes me to the dining room where father sits.
"Seth, she's already twelve, don't you think you should let her do it on her own?"
"Yes, but father she's my kid sister. I'll be leaving for the academy again after a break so I want to spend as much time--"
"I get it, sit"
He puts me down and we go to our seats, and then I start to think about the novel and it's content. My family isn't in danger as long as I don't do anything so we should be fine.
Then an idea struck, why not have a main goal like travelling and visiting new places.
"Father!"
"Yes, Aroa?"
"I want to travel!!"
"To where?" they asked simultaneously.
"Around the world, I want to meet new people and eat new foods" my fathers face softened and my brothers face grew a smile.
"Aroa, when you get older, we'll travel together"
After that day brother left for the academy and now, five years later, today my brother should be finishing up at his academy.
I'm now 17 years old, I did my debutante last year but there wasn't anything notable. It still surprises me that I'm actually in another world, no phones, no colleges for just homeschooling and learning how to be a proper wife.
As the story went in the novel, everything played out other than the fact I wasn't evil. At the same time, while the FL was getting her daily dose of man I decided to befriend her. She was a very smart person always figuring out someones next move, helping the crown prince and doing all that.
She wasn't sweet, neither did she pretend to be kind. In a way, she seemed as unique as the story I had read and how I fell in love with all the characters when I read it.
When I first read 'Chemical Lovers', it wasn't anything to me. After reading it though, it was my favourite book.
' Lexi Aroth wasn't of noble birth, she was a stowaway from the kingdom beside ours. After making her way inside she made it her mission to know about our culture and history. She stole books, snuck into libraries and aristocrats homes using her small and nimble body to make her way inside.
She had a photographic memory and always put it to good use. Using the knowledge she learned she made her way on the street showing off talents she picked up on the way, eventually being adopted by a town noble. After making her debutante she fell for the crown prince and first sight.
His dark purple almost blue hair and his elegant demeanour made him attractive. She liked men who could keep her on her toes as well as keep up with her. To her, he looked perfect, she wanted him and she knew how to get a man to beg at her knees. She made herself attractive to him by showing up and disappearing to get him to notice her then she proceeded to use tactics and eventually after all her plotting he was smitten. She knew that as well. That's when my character had swooped him, being engaged to him from her younger years she was furious that he was making eyes with someone akin to a commoner. She was to be the next crown princess, she politely told Lexi and made her know that she was engaged to him. Lexi on the other hand didn't want to let him go and wouldn't either.
Aroa losing patience but was determined to stay polite to the end, the reputation of a future crown princess could be ruined in a day but takes year's to build. The crown prince stepping up and telling Aroa that she needed to stop and that it was his decision who he loved.
She lost her final straw of patience and slapped him, a slap so loud so juicy that it left a red mark of her hand imprinted in his face. He was shocked, she was shocked even Lexi didn't think that would have happened. Unfortunately, that incident had sparked impatience and the inability to tolerate anything she didn't like. She had enough, she made up her mind. She was not going to deal with her childhood friend and some skank, getting together.
Leaving she schemed, she brought in the other two male leads and there transpired a legendary war between men and women. They need up winning the battle and the other two male leads betrayed Aroa. Leaving her alone to deal with the consequences, under the excuse that she forced them.
In the end, saying they fell for Lexi's wit and beauty, her smart mouth and the rush they give her when she's near.
Aroa though wasn't able to escape what awaited her. For her, it was the end, knowing she was defeated she calmly said her last words " I may not have lead my life perfectly, no one does neither the first nor second nor third time. So this may be my time to die but I know my mistakes and I admit them but I know for a fact that if I were ever to get another chance I'd do the same....I regret nothing"
After saying her last words she was killed. That was how the novel had ended excluding a few major scenes and events. '
Remember when I had said I befriended the female lead, this time because of the intervention I had prevented my engagement with the crown prince and distanced myself from him. I don't think neither party was at fault and even think they could've been friends if it was for the Crown Prince. If anything I hate those two traitorous make leads. Garbage 1 and garbage 2. They cannot be recycled.
I dug deep in my brain trying to recollect everything that had happened in the novel, I hope that this time because of my changes that she won't do me dirty like she did the original Aroa. I don't think I'd suddenly turn into Sherlock homes and Hercules. I was never that great when using my brain as I am just the average college student.
As modern as I may be, that was such a long time ago that even I try to remember only blurry black dots come up and those old memories are nowhere to be found.
Maybe it's because I know so many novels where when they transmigrate they suddenly turn badass, I realise I'm just an ordinary person.
I sigh, turning back to my reality. My brother is done with his academia and is finally coming back home, meaning he can fulfil the promise he had made to me years ago. In the past 5 years, I had looked up many famous travel spots and looked into where we could go after he came home. I was prepared.
I had even packed my clothes a year in advance, making sure they still fit.
Should I continue? Is it interesting enough, does it feel different? I have so many more ideas of how and where this could go down so if you do want more just say part 2.
Also there are no contract marriages in this if that's something you're interested in
Truthfully speaking it doesn’t feel different i have read similar stories that had the cliche troupes of caring parents and doting brothers, the female lead choosing to travel and get rich/live in luxury instead of repeating her first life and meeting a tragic death, cunning heroine, and the heroine having a harem. But the story was good. You managed to take each cliche troupe and put it into a story while explaining it and hooking the reader to the story. Very well done. I hope that I’m not overstepping but in my opinion i would like to add that i was hoping that Aroa was to try and get her revenge on the heroine and the male leads by taking the throne from the ml instead of trying to befriend the heroine i want her to act like a true villainess/tyrant and smartly get her revenge. I haven’t seen much stories with that troupe but of course this is just my opinion. Other than that the story was amazing and I wouldn’t mind reading a part 2 to it.
Yeah, she didn't marry the archduke to avoid her death flag or the emperor, more like wanting to see the heroine suffer. I can't say I blame her tbh
