This was a great drama. 100% shounen ai, but I'm glad that was the case given their age difference. The way their relationship built over time and the twists in the narrative were really well thought out and executed. Definitely a bit of a tear-jerker, but gentle as well. It was nice that both characters had tragedies of their own to work through, and go through the motions of acceptance. I'm glad that Kouki was able to find peace in the end considering that he allowed himself to suffer for as long as he did. I really liked how realistic the connection to society was, too. There was no majorly satisfying revenge, just the reality of moving on and coming to terms that even though one could have intense feelings of revenge, doesn't mean you should act upon them. Great read. I seriously enjoyed the story.

The art is STUNNING. However, I don't usually fuck with comedies that continuous for a number of reasons and this manga is beginning to show those signs. It is meant to be read in an episode format. Yes, there's underlying (potential) story to it but the plot is mostly episodic. 'Characters do this in this chapter and it has almost nothing to do with the rest of manga' type deal. I personally don't enjoy that format, and it's a common one in comedy, specifically. I know that this manga is also meant to touch on topics which are not unbeknownst to yaoi (obviously, yaoi literally refers to smut with no plot really between men), which is totally fine and is used comically, but I feel as though the mangaka could spend less time on piling the troupes and topics so much on top of each other. It's almost too overwhelming, which then leads me to get bored very fast. Some moments are wonderfully illustrated, while others feel dumb and much like a form or reminiscent of Jackass (the films). Anyway, I'm going to have to drop this manga here and give it 3 stars overall. I enjoyed it for the most part but I'm struggling to continue beyond the boredom it's making me feel.

Ok, I fucking hated this. I'm sorry, but I hate the dynamic. The uke is just missing something in his personality. Maybe a brain? idk. I hateeeeeee the seme. He's rapey af, annoying and just gross overall. The translation gets spotty in places and it make it difficult to actually understand what it being said between the characters at times which is a mild annoyance, but pales in comparison to how stupid this plot it. The art is stunning but I can't get past how shitty the seme is. The scene where the seme puts ointment on the uke is by far the cringiest fucking thing I've read in a while. He was sexually assaulted and you fuck him anyway like a pervert? Ew. Forces uke into sex pretty much all of the time, too... just why? I'm not sure why there's a plot at all, this would've been fine as just yaoi, nothing more, but the mangaka or editor, for whatever reason, felt this needed more than it did. I'm disappointed to say the least. Sorry to anyone if they liked it, I just plainly did not :/
