OKAY OKAY SO
With the new chapters hinting the Daniel is Park Jinyoung's son, here's why I think there's still so much more to it, like SO much more :
Firstly, the author is PTJ. This man makes you believe something and then completely destroys the belief, like remember the Samuel seo arc?? We all thought he was Jake's brother but dun dun dun he's not
Secondly, Daniel being PJY's biological son would create plot holes, like HUGE plot holes. Cuz in the holidays arc, when we get to meet Daniel's family, we see how Daniel held a close resemblance to his family, with his cousins being almost his doppelgangers. It is said that PJY was Daniel's dad's best friend, but not his brother. If someone said PJY did the deed with Daniel's mom, it wouldn't make sense because of the resemblance he holds to his family. And we know the Daniel's mom is a single child so the fat genes coming from her are low.
Finally, putting that into account, here comes my theory— and here, Daniel may or may not be PJY's biological son, but the son of his legal father. Then the resemblance of PJY in Daniel? PJY is an illegitimate child, and like an half brother to Daniel's dad. Due to some circumstances, PJY had to be left alone while his parents raised the others. We can assume the fat genes comes from his grandfather, and maybe the PJY's mother is someone else, which is why Dan's gramma shows hostility towards him. PJY and Dan's dad became friend out of pure luck and had no idea about them being brothers, but later on they find out which causes troubles and misunderstandings that lead us to where we are now
Well, there still isn't much info given about the bodies yet, but for all we know that Three people here are involved— Chairman Choi, DG, and Crystal, and Daniel clearly isn't the first person to have two bodies- Now, PJY was clearly involved with C.Choi as we see from the previous chapters, and so Dan's dad was involved with PJY, he might as well would have know C.Choi. And clearly C.Choi is the person who currently, is the biggest key to the bodies, and with PJY being a doctor, I suspect C.Choi has been making him do tests on these people (his clinic is the perfect place to do so) and after Crystal, and perhaps DG, he learnt Daniel has two bodies, clearly he doesn't know Daniel's identity, therefore was surprised about him having another body. C.Choi probably chose Daniel cuz of PJY and Dan's dad, and that particular reason is what PJY is wondering. But hey, it's just a theory!
Indeed. I would agree to PJY used previously as a twisted scientist by C.Choi but not with the clinic. From the arc "Holidays 2" where Daniel met people who knew PJY, who looked up to him like Big Deal towards Jake Kim, they first mistook Daniel as a lackey of C.Choi who was apparently also looking for PJY. I also vaguely remember Chairman Eugene mentioning that he was hiding PJY from C.Choi. Except for Tom Lee, C.Eugene haven't told anyone who knew about the 2 bodies about PJY (since C.Eugene doesn't seem to know anything bout the 2 bodies either).
Speaking of, even though I agree with Daniel having suspicions towards DG, I still think he should have at least tipped DG that PJY is under C.Eugene's care. Maybe then their search for truth might pace faster.
Okay shit I didn't reply in so long but here's what I think, we may both be right. Something def happened between PJY and C.Choi right? What if it was something related to the bodies in the past which lead to their hatred towards each other, but because they also worked on this project together, PJY knew what C.Choi was hiding, this C.Eugene has been hiding PJY just to know C.Choi secret without knowing it's related to the bodies
SINCE THE COMMENT SECTION IS BACK I CAN FINALLY TALK ABOUT THE ENDING
Okay so, the ending was rushed but it wasn't bad, it was great HOWEVER there were s o many confusing things towards the end, which i believe is either because I thought too much of it or lack of world information in the story. So, we see Jinwoo refusing to live in the dream like facade the King of Shadows made for him, because it wasn't his reality, right? But once he defeats the monarchs, he asks to turn back time to 10 years ago. So what happened to the previous world? Did it get overwritten? Did it get completely Thanos snapped out of existence? Which can't be the case because of the tower that showed the ruins of the previous worlds. Did the timeline get separated creating a parallel universe starting from those 10 years ago? Does that mean the Jinwoo never really got to see the final ending of his own world, but somewhere that was like his world, but different? It's kinda sad if you think abt the promises he made early on
Personally I think of it like a video game. Rather than parallel universes or whatnot, using the cup is more like replaying/restarting a video game so that you can make different decisions to get a different ending. So although the other timelines were technically "overwritten", they were not forgotten by the player (or in this case, the "higher beings"). They would still have the memories or records of what had happened. Therefore Jinwoo did see the final ending in which he saved the world, though not without the sacrifice of countless innocent people, hunters, and loved ones. However, this ending wasn't satisfactory for Jinwoo so he essentially restarted the game and attempted a different ending. In regards to the dream world that the previous Shadow Monarch created, I think Jinwoo meant that without the existence of the war between Rulers and Monarchs, there was no point in him being there, no goal for the player to achieve. He had built up all this power and for what? The dream world had no place for him whereas reality was where he was truly needed. The ending was definitely bittersweet to me
THE STORY IS FINALLY PROGRESSINGGGGG
