I re-read this all and I 100% think guwon is entirely sincere to our MC. I think he genuinely wants to connect with others and yea he didn't really like kissing but he liked our MC so he was happy to do it. I really do think he likes him a lot as the only person in the town not scared of him and connecting with him

I feel like the storyboarding's gone down in quality... I can't really put my finger on what it is that's bothering me but when I compare the storyboarding now to the first chapter it feels like there's been a huge downgrade with less atmospheric or interesting perspectives--its just cutting to one character's face to the next to the next, and any panels that place them in an area is kinda lazily done...
Don't get me wrong the art is great and the story is too, but I feel like both are being held back now, to the point I find my interest is suffering
You are not alone on this take. I have the same feeling too.. There is something about this that felt it had downgraded a bit. I still do enjoy this but there is just this lack of something...
I just re read it and didn’t notice the difference. Maybe your memory is vague and you unconsciously put up the past chapters on the pedestal? Because the panels don’t cut from one face to another, the perspective changes. There is just less fighting and more conversations in which they can’t really cut to her feet or sth.
It's also about the expressions of the characters and how they visually react that seems to have become lacklustre. I went back and read a few of the first chapters again and there's certainly a difference, so I don't think it's my subconscious playing tricks on me.
That's not to say this work is complete shit, or that people are wrong to like it-- I find it a little disappointing personally. Kinda mourning how it used to be lol. Maybe the artist is overworked these days idk
