I feel like a lot of authors want to have their cake and eat it when it comes to tones and themes, and it just doesn't work most the time. Like there will be a light fluffy story and the it turns out there was a rape backstory, or there's a dark psychological but with wacky moments. If its a good author, they might be able to get away with it, but ......
Their actions and thoughts are kind of irrational.
I can only describe it as off or strange.
We’re only 4 chapters in so maybe there is even more to the story.
One guy is a legit pyschopath and the author has no intention of hiding that, and on the other hand we have a major pushover. Something about the plot seems like it won't end as a love story even though it's appears to be heading in that direction. I wouldn't be surprised if Inseob ends up chained in that guy's basement. However I would be shocked if they somehow end up as a couple. I can't picture a satisfying redemption arc for Wooyeon.
I love mostly everything about the series. The plot is so detailed and it really keeps you wondering. I have so many unanswered questions but all I can do is just wait for now. The story concept and world building is very good and the art is amazing. All of the kannagi are so very beautiful.
Excuse my question because how dare I ask something so ridiculous. I guess I wouldn't characterize him as 'bad' per se but he's definitely a complex individual considering his background and whatnot.
I remember in the earlier seasons he was sort of a menace, very manipulative and everything. Once again, I don't think that makes him incapable of change I just have a fear that maybe some of those tendencies could surface again. (I will re- read to completely get a understanding on his character a little more)
I haven't seen anyone suppose anything like this or similar to this so let me know what you think. I could just be anxious for a twist and reading too much into it.
