Leylin Of Turin
Leylin comes down with a fever as a child, and remembers her previous life in which she read a book. The very book in which this world exists. And she is a character who is sold off to a man who is indifferent to her. The original story had them have 1 child together before she became infertile and she abused the child. The husband said he didn't even care about that either and she killed herself. Apparently her death drives him crazy and the son grows up to take his father out. She's determined to change the events so that she doesn't suffer and neither does anyone else. To start, fire the Nanny who is turning her and her brother against one another. Little did she know, he would come to adore her. And that indifferent man she was betrothed to isn't so indifferent.
This is pretty cute. The first 10 or so chapters she is only a child. I like to see how she calculates things. I see potential in this story.
Carrier Falcon Princess
Why did I wait so long to read this?!! It's so good!
The 8th princess is to be sacrificed for the war along with another lesser prince, so that the heirs can get away safely. She's always kept her head down so her sisters and brother, those closest to the throne, wouldn't find her a threat and kill her. She's only lived in survival mode and then they sent her out to die anyway just so they can live. In her pleas to survive, she wakes as a bird. A carrier falcon used in the war efforts. She quickly learns that she can actually be useful to her country and make a difference in the war, and the commander who is suspicious of the bird at first grows increasingly fond and trusting of it. What happens if they find her body? Is she alive or dead? Is she stuck as a bird? Does she even want to go back to the caged princess life?
This is amazing. I truly laughed out loud reading it and that's a feat. The comedy is gold even though the story is super serious. I think it can get a little convoluted at times when it talks about the family connections and it gets quite confusing to recall which siblings are what faction amd why that matters. But it is such a cute and intriguing story. I love it!
Honey, I'm Going on Strike
After living a life unloved by her husband, FL has two children that she loves dearly. 10 years into their marriage, FL is dying and she asks for a pearl necklace and to go out to the city, and her husband acts like she could've done that all along. She knows better. Her life had been torturous. And her last request was for him to sign the divorce papers, but then she died.
She wakes up in bed next to him, 10 years prior in their first night after getting married. She immediately tells him she hated it and him and kicks him out. He's utterly confused. Wingman butler gets him a sex ed teacher, his childhood "friend" tries to start drama, and the FL just wants to live her life and not work as hard as she had to last time. But if she leaves him, she can't have her 2 adorable babies, so she is gonna stay. And unfortunately that means dealing with the same things as the past, but she won't put up with it all this time. But things aren't the same. Was her husband like this all along? It's burdensome. She just wants to keep hating him, but she's seeing sides of him that might have always been there.
This story is super cute. Love the art and the FL. Gotta love reincarnation stories. Especially with golden retriever love interests.
