Mc's power get triggered by strong emotion which currently now it's fear. But he could use other emotions as the trigger instead if he learnt properly. His power has something to do with gravity.
About the blood pact, the only thing i remember is that a guide could use part of esper's power as their own. Also they could somehow detects each other when in danger i guess?

Since it’s forbidden magic, my thoughts went to people not knowing the full scope of what might happen when using it. OG Giselle I think was greedy by nature and thought she’d have this immense magic on tap by being loved by magic. But didn’t know the soul itself has to be chosen or possibly born that way. She didn’t reap the benefits of her greed for power since another soul was needed.
