I wish they added in that the corpse lying next to her while she struggled to get clean rain water to drink was her mother. When I read that in the novel I sobbed. Both her story and the original Penny’s story hurt so much, this is definitely one of the best stories I’ve read. Definitely stick with it because she’s such a great character and definitely isn’t in any way a stereotypical FL.
At first I hated the ML. He is extremely selfish and brutal and it made the first book hard to read but I think I like him a lot more as a character in the second book because I can see how much effort he went through just to be failed again and I get why he’s angry. Also he’s pretty funny sometimes in a kind of this is ridiculous way. I can’t wait to read more because his character development is superior, hats off to the artist.
That moment when they say she’s brown skinned and they make her slightly tanner than the rest of the characters. ┗( T﹏T )┛
Honestly though this was so hard to read but the end was really satisfying.it made me really happy that the sister and the ex wife got together.

I’m trying to stick around for the art and hopefully character development but the boyfriend really has no good traits and I’m struggling lol.
It’s just straight up not consensual and abusive and it’s frustrating how the ML isn’t setting any boundaries.Not trying to victim blame because it’s definitely the boyfriends fault for acting that way, but damn at least react to him beating up a friend of yours after luring that friend with your phone. ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
