I swear Suyama Torico Sensei has a thing for flawed characters. Their characters are so clumsy, awkward, clueless and narcissistic that readers can't help but love them. ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

In response to all the "health concerns" -There was this tweet saying how there are different types of being unhealthy but people only shame the ones who are fat or chubby.

Representation matters. Σ(  ̄□ ̄||)
The characters were cute and was kinda sad how he lost weight in the end but blehhh. It's about being happy with your body. It is the first manga with a concept like this. Want to read more!!

I don’t think it’s so much as them shaming people for being fat and unhealthy solely, but depending on the circumstances will people be blunt and shove reality in people’s faces. Like if you’re unhealthy and have a weight problem and can’t help it then society doesn’t have that much of a problem with it; but if you’re overweight and don’t try to help yourself back into health then it’s kind of ridiculous to be upset over your appearance.

    ThisWeirdoEatsBooks April 22, 2018 8:37 am

Fat people do own mirrors, society don't have to remind them or "shove reality" into their faces. Losing weight is hard. Top that with dumbass remarks from people who think people are fat intentionally. No one wants to be fat in this world of size zero. Being fat is unhealthy and all but it is not like one day people decided "oh! I'm not getting harassed enough! Lemme gain weight so people can feel better about themselves by mocking me!!??!!"
A little empathy goes a long way. Don't preach unless you've walk miles in the same shoes.

Ppl also shame the ones who are consider skinny. Please, just stop it.

Smh it’s skinny ppl who want to gain weight as well. So, many ppl also pick on because of they so skinny. They get pick on by fat ppl and mens who don’t find them attractive. Ppl can’t help it some ppl are big because of medical reasons and some are big because their parents always let them eat whatever at a young age. Do you how many young kids are over weight and consider obesit. Research and look at the fucking percentage. There’s also ppl who lazy and doesn’t want to exercise. What ppl need to understand both size get slander by each other and by men. Also, just because someone is skinny or fat doesn’t mean they not healthy. It all depends on the height, weight, what you eat. Most skinny ppl don’t gain weight. I’m one of them who have high metabolism but don’t gain weight. What I hate the most is when a someone bigger than me tell me I need to eat more. Humble yourself cuz I will destroy your ass. I hate ignorant ppl.

Have you read some of the comments on the concerning manga? Being healthy and happy in your skin is what matters. Idk how I'm the "ignorant" here?

    Amorim March 21, 2019 11:46 pm

Ok first of all, my grandma and other relatives have died of obesity and it is a very real and common cause of death so the health concerns comments (I just made one) is based on factual evidence that obesity leads to death. It's not the same thing as commenting on a real persons weight and hurting their feelings as obese people know the health concerns and don't need to be reminded by a stranger. As far as blaming the overweight party, some people are genetically massively obese or have glandular issues or other things that are unchageable. But the majority of overweight people truly can change if they so choose. My cousins got my grandmas genes and used to be the chubby obese kids at school. In brasil however (where they live) obesity is not treated as some uncheageable condition so they worked their asses off payimg for a nutritionist and going to the gym 3 times a week for the last 4 or so years. They will never be as skinny as me but they are trim and leaning a bit towards the thicc side. They are always hit on and complimented when we go out together ans are super happy with their bodies. So no, i dont really believe in excuses. Now, as fir saying that only fat people get it thrown in their face is blatantly untrue. As someone who has been the skinniest person in class throughout all of my schooling, I received COUNTLESS comments of "are you anorexic?, you're underweight, do you eat? Your thighs are the same size as your calves lol (they are not), twig arms, ect ect" and I NEVER not ONCE heard anyone say anything offensive about my bigger friends. In fact they always got reinforcing "you're beautiful, you're not chubby!" Comments because we are taught not to fat shame and god forbid if you're skinny. Now I'm not saying overweight people don't get a lot of shit. They absolutely do and I can definitely say that when they do get shit for their weight, it's far worse than the skinny comments but my point is, we should be taught not to be hurtful to anybody and reinforcing this mindset of "only fat people get shit for their weight" is a terrible way to go around trying to discuss obesity.

Liked how he didn't settled for someone who treated him like trash and went for the guy who loved him, worshipped Him and deserved him. It was nice for a change from all the toxic and abusive relationships. (≧∀≦)

I'm as confused as I was when I read this few years back. It's 50 shades of fucked up to be precise(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

This is old but no matter what, this manga was real 50 shades of fucked up. I'm still as confused as I was when I read it years back. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

ThisWeirdoEatsBooks April 18, 2018 10:11 pm

It is unfortunate in a way that I'm not surprised by the families of both the characters, seeing how I've met innumerous people of this kind who are hell bent on destroying their kids lives.
Though I've to say this might be the first manhwa I've read where a character has had enough of his lover's bully.

ThisWeirdoEatsBooks April 17, 2018 3:03 pm

This is one of my first mangas and I'm glad that it is finished. Maybe I'm stupid but even now I can't understand the half the stuff that was going on with the manga. Everyone just wanted to get laid (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
