Cole is quite doubtful, untrusting and (feeling) inferior to Alex. I think (even though it’s fucked up) what happened with Brad gave him that feeling that Alex isn’t with him for pity or just sex. He is desirable and he knows that Alex is already desirable thus making Cole feel more deserving of their relationship. Alex, on the other hand, has been with lots of empty relationships that made him feel “too perfect” for his own good. He wanted to feel human and Cole made him feel exactly that. You know what guys? No one is perfect. I’ve been in the exact same position and I know sinners are sinners, angels are angels but that part of the story is just a sick filler chapter to be followed with a climactic character development.
(I am more like a Lilly though.. i’ll mess you up real good and you won’t know what’s coming hahha it’s nice to say this online where no one will really know who i am lol )

i’ve read the full thing a long time ago when is was translated by grape jelly and they never say much about they i think you might have a small part in on chapter near the end but other than that there is not much as they mainly focus on the couple. I believe the story is ending soon soooooo ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Honestly i hated him but when the mc said "i was the one who liked him, i was the one who expected him to treat me like a lover" it all made sense. He wasn't a bad guy he was a friend worried bc he was getting involved with a mafia like guy, the mc was getting hurt by himself bc he expected his crush to treat him like he treats his girlfriend. Idk if you understood what I meant but

yea i know he had expectations that didn’t fit reality and he finally woke up when he met the ml which is great because the best friends guy was just a way to get the story along so that’s why it’s very unfulfilling about the way they cut off their relationship this was a kinda short story like most bl when they rush the ending but overall it’s doesn’t really feel like that until he moves on but overall it’s still a better story than the other ones that’s rush it still just kinda cuts off too quickly but gets the point across.... i hope that summed that up pretty well .

no it sadly no i wish I screen shotted the the fully translated version but when it was around chapter 8 there was a big deal about the scantslation and this manga so i just was happy that i got in the group because they were very hypocritical and snobby. They then a little later deleted their page leaving me no access to it .
