Sometimes of course I would want a nice happy life with only sunshine and rainbows and no worries, but there are times in my life where I get triggered and go into episodes of self destruction. You don’t know what I’m dealing with but are saying that I want to live som “edge lord fantasy”.
And to give you some examples, what about people in domestic abuse relationships? They get kicked around and very possibly have kids with the people they abuse, but still sometimes stay with that person because they want their kids to not be separated from their other parent, even if it’s at the expense of their own situation. Or perhaps they are afraid that their partner would kill them if they did something, so they stay in the same place.
Or what about Stockholm Syndrome? Some people are abused and brainwashed so much so much that they believe that their attackers are doing these things out of love, and when someone tells them that it’s abuse, they think that the world is trying to separate them from their partner because others are “jealous” or “don’t want to see them happy”.
And what about people who have mental health problems? Sometimes they might know that the medication might help them, but still refuse to take it.
So just stop assuming you know what I’m going through, because I know exactly what you think I’m pretending to be, and I’m not.
