Gotta appreciate the reads. Though it's a bit slow paced, and fast paced in some areas, I'm not complaining! It's hard to make a story, and even moreso for drawings, so kudos to the authors/artists!
In short, it is called SIS (Snow Immersion Suffocation) basically as the story had lightly described it, it is where a person falls through the snow and can die due to being suffocated under the snow. In some cases there can be people who survive! In most cases, it’s unlikely as these people usually have their head dive first into the snow, and then the snow collapses on them, and cuts out their screams, kinda like those foam walls for studios.
They also showed a depiction of a snow crevasse! Which was the big hole of snow that was gone! This is due to being a hole under a thin layer of snow, to which you step on, and you can fall into this hidden crevasse unknowingly.

Possible plot hole? How the hell did Bitch curtis survive the wrath of the people? I thought he was sure dead since the people were beating the shit outa him? Not to mention they never really disclosed this part of the plot? T T why is the plot going haywire now...
I read the novel, and during this part they never really describe how the monsters looked like! They did in fact say that the people were “nutrients” for the tree. Because of that, i was so surprised to see them like THAT when drawn. Kudos to the artist for this! Kinda scary tbh. But all the better!
