i hate this writer so much for sexualizing rape so much in all their stories. I just feel like this is such a bad influence for anyone younger that is reading this (which i’m hoping there isn’t) and that it might be oversimplifying the traumas that come with rape/sexual harassment. I just wish that this writer actually came up with a good plot line that doesn’t rely on rape to push the story forward. As someone who’s been around people that have gone through things like this, i just find this incredibly upsetting and i think i might drop this story soon. This is just my opinion and i hope no one gets upset at this. You are entitled to your opinion as i am to mine! :)
The problem is this manga is supposed to be premium content so most kids shouldn't even be able to access this. The problem lies in the parents. Yeah it's impossible to supervise what ur child is browsing in the internet all the time. The best alternative is educate the child regarding this things, but we aren't supposed to talk about that since christian/religious parents evil=sex
You can't force authors to deviate from their ideas, even though I hate rape and tragedy all would be solved if you avoid those genres. You can't see me blaming the authors for shits I consume
I don’t really think we can do anything to stop kids from consuming this sorta content. The problem doesn’t lie with what people consume, but rather what content is being put out there. I never said the it was wrong to discuss topics like this especially if it (in a way) brings awareness to the harmful effects of sexual harassment. It’s just sickening to see author depict such disturbing things in such a light- and in a way romanticize these things. I never intended to read this story or any of the authors other stories with the intention of looking forward to the rape. In fact i expected to read a story with a good plot line and art style, yet all i saw in this story with this guy getting raped twice. Had the author taken a more serious stance and tried to depict the seriousness of this issue, i wouldn’t be writing this in the first place. I feel like this story was a pretty good in some parts but why did it have to be about a boy getting sexually harassed by bad guys and fighting his way out of it?? and then he gets raped???? and everything’s just fine all of a sudden as if the rape never happened in he first place? and now we find out he was raped by his partner when they were younger? please... is this all really that necessary? i’m sure the author is so much more capable that just a story that romanticizes a boy getting molested left, right, and center.
