Second male lead syndrome is real. I’m conflicted bc the plot was set up so that fate MADE them eventually fall for each other. Their heart beat forcibly for each other and their feelings were artificial in a sense. ML isn’t even gay so it just proves the point further. The second ML actually fell for MC naturally and even protected him when nobody was watching. He even went to the army to forget about MC T_T. Ah, I never felt second male lead syndrome this bad.

Honestly, the characterization was all over the place, but I did enjoy ML being hurt and desperate for MC so 4/5 :^).

Honestly, the translations were really off, so I just started to semi-skim read it and I think a lot of meaning was lost in translation. I like how the love interest fell in love with the main character first without knowing who the main character's identity was. The ending was really anti-climatic. The whole plot was based on this secret but when ML found out he was like, "Oh... let me think about this for a few days... Okay yeah I dont really care that much that I discovered the truth behind my dad's suicide." Like.... okay? What. ???
The side characters were good, however. They were rounded out and had good personalities but honestly served 0 purpose. Like, if you were to take them out, they would not have made a single difference in the plot (except for the younger siblings). And it was never explained why ML was kissing a bunch of different guys in the beginning??? Like, that was 60% of why I kept reading the manhwa.
Honestly, the ending was disappointing and anti-climatic; however, the art was really good.
