short and sweet, just enough angst to satisfy, not too much drama, few chapters. overall, I'd recommend it if ur looking for something simplistic + intimate scenes, it doesn't have 293922 different plot lines. also the FL is a mommy
do you feel these hands around ur neck choking u the fuck out eunhyeok
you know honestly this manhwa is really starting to confuse me because atp we're 100+ chapters in and the relationship between perry and theo is just... odd to me. I can't put my finger on it nor can I really explain it, but it's almost like they take 3 steps forward and then 2 steps back BECAUSE this manhwa is on the slower side and at times even drags on??? we get progression but then 28322 chapters of them borderline acting like strangers and it just throws me off. theo's behaviour is also becoming odd to me it seems like he literally never wants to communicate despite knowing perry loves the shit out of him idk I'm just very confused
the way he set it up so he'd be there to beat mincheol's ass after he gets caught cheating is hilarious to me
all that build up for the most impactful chapter of this manhwa and it fell a little flat. as always the art is stunning, ruby's vicious anger, cesare slowly losing it. all nicely done, but it didn't meet my expectations overall. ruby went OFF in the novel, my favorite of hers being something along the lines of "you know what the difference between you and Izek is? when I'm with you, I want to kill myself" like the author did not hold back, it was all raw and unforgiving and very, very bloody. bro cesare beat the absolute shit out of ruby before izek stormed in. I liked how horribly and truly REAL this scene was in the novel, and the fact that they TOSSED IN A FLASHBACK SCENE FOR CESARE, ALMOST AS IF THE ARTIST OR WHATEVER WAS TRYING TO JUSTIFY HIS ACTIONS/BEHAVIOUR? TRYNA MAKE US PITY HIM? ah hell nah fuck out of here
kinda realizing now that tj and Ian do have chemistry but their relationship slowly soured and turned unhealthy over time. not sure if tj even realizes it but in my opinion he's become a pair of shackles, and it's gonna be really hard for ian to free himself BECAUSE he's so codependent and he's been with tj for so long. they've literally lived through shit after shit together and at this point I don't think ian himself even knows what he wants because his brain is so muddled. I still think jo as a character kind of lacks depth and falls flat. like he's this perfect dude who just comes out of nowhere to save ian from the gangster life
chapter 104 is when it's all gonna go down I'm not ready
some people here are so narrow minded, clueless and apathetic like haesoo can't just wake up one day a changed woman and magically decide to leave that shit ass man lmao it's much more difficult than that... when you love someone, truly LOVE someone, you love them entirely. you literally just love... them. their being. to the point that you may even end up loving the horrible parts of someone, because you don't see those parts as horrible, you see those parts just as equally as you see the rest of that person. something to love. it's hard to explain but I understand her. he treats her like shit and she tolerates it because she loves even those twisted pieces of him
the relationship between ian and tj has mixed opinions but honestly to me what they have just seems like something deep and unbreakable. they've been through hell and back together and I feel like they both truly do love each other. I read a similar story where both of the characters kind of just tiptoed around the guilt they both carried and they refused to communicate and then at one point they had this huge ass argument and everything came pouring out, years of lies and burdening guilt. they argued and yelled, got a bit physical, yet ultimately they resolved everything, they both shed a couple of tears and forgave each other, decided on a fresh start. that's kind of what I envisioned for ian and tj honestly, but another part of me is just like man their relationship is just too damn heavy and difficult. idk jo is obviously just ur standard good guy good life normal relationship and ian would live a healthier life with him, I can definitely picture ian eventually moving on, because he's like that as a character, but I fr can't picture tj loving anyone more than he loves ian. so that makes me think the author might end up killing off tj lol
personally a really great story, natural chemistry, I love how they're both kind of problematic lmao? like it adds to the realism of their relationship they're not all googly eyed lovey dovey mwah mwah they argue, they fight. despite that, they really do love each other sincerely. it's interesting how the author also made them quite different from one another, highlighting their respective characteristics throughout the story. seoheon is more verbal, he knows exactly what to say to hurt/trigger someone, whereas seoho is definitely more physical, he throws things around, he hits people. it's why they clash a lot lol because seoho is easily triggered, especially by what seoheon says. you'd think they wouldn't be compatible but they make it work. the inheritance/stocks bla bla main plot is a tinyyyy bit of a drag
after reading the spoilers, from my understanding, this story is gonna have a whole lot of negative shit without a positive happy ending result so I'm dropping this
don't know if it's just me but I'd love to see theo absolutely lose his shit again. I still vividly remember his reaction to finding out his son was being harassed. one of the few times I was actually scared of a fictional character, his anger is frightening
why does eunhyeok look fine as hell we're supposed to be pissed off at him
this cheating piece of shit is gonna wake up one day and realize he lost an absolutely incredible woman and I can't wait for that to happen
hoping this ends up actually being a pretty sweet story because so far we have two ends of the spectrum when it comes to the two men -- they're both red flags even though they're different shades of red
