I mean that was in the original timeline (where even our mc's character was cruel and prob didn't deserve whatever happiness our mc is getting rn);; in this timeline he hasn't done much except raise the loan but there's definitely scope for the three to have a happy ending (together or separate for the 2nd one)
True true. Honestly you're right. I think part of his cruelty in the original story could be explained by the fact that he had no experience with other people being kind to him, and he was surrounded by people who also normalized and encouraged violence and loan shark behavior. Other characters did mention that he was acting less cold than usual after being exposed to the MC's kindness so maybe he is going down a redemption route.
