I agree I wish they could’ve at least seen each other... but if they had bum probably wouldn’t have gotten hit by the car. I like the ending as weird as that sounds and I like to think in their new life they can be together again. Maybe have a happier life. Aha.

Oh yah I didn’t think about that, I see what u mean, it’s not weird haha, I think she wrote the ending for that reason, like u said Bum would have still lived if they saw each other but Sangwoo would have still died most likely and then bum would be lonely without him and he was already having delusions so he wouldn’t have been okay, but hopefully in their next lives they can be together ㅜㅜ

Sangwoo would’ve died peacefully if bum had seen him... or he would’ve said bum I’m gonna kill you. Honestly with Sangwoo idk. If bum is still alive (and I don’t think he is) he will/ would’ve had serious metal issues. (with him still having hallucinations and such.) I think if bum is alive or was.. he would’ve turned into a serial killer too. Idk like killing girls that are with Sangwoo (or rather who he thinks is Sangwoo)..idk I feel it could’ve gone that way, or bum would’ve been so depressed and killed himself, oooorr, married that girl but I don’t see a happy ending. Bum would be forever sad. :(

Stories about emotional abuse is hard because often readers are so close to the emotions in the story, they fall into the same trap the abuse victims do. Even when the author doesn't romanticize it, and presents things very bluntly, (KS is very clear this is murder from the first chapter), readers still fall for the trap. It's hard to say it's not love, because you see glimpses of affection here and there and forgive the person for things that shouldn't be forgiven because of a tragic life. But when you step back, and objectively say to a nonreader Sangwoo was a serial killer, who manipulated and hurt everyone around him, and Bum was a stalker trapped in his crush/abuser's house, and Sangwoo literally broke Bum's legs in the first chapter you realize just how messed up this is. It's so toxic you don't even really want to call it love, but not sure what else to call it. It's the same reason people shipped Joker and Harley Quinn

Wow this is seriously really well written... I got so emotionally attached to the characters and excused Sangwoo’s actions because I knew what he went through... then I took a step back and looked at the story as if I was someone watching all of this story in the news. I would’ve thought what happened to Sangwoo, though sad, was well deserved. My two opinions sound like they came from two different people.
