Can someone confirm me this?
"On each beginning chapter page near the title "Play in Abyss," the subtitle "A Prayer in Hell #" appears."
Is the subtitle actually there on the English release with the "Play in Abyss"?
Just been confused about something recently...

It's "Pray in Abyss".
I bought Be Boy Gold, so I'm sure of it! ;)
It is interesting to read VF in English. Good way for learn languages.

Sorry for my rudeness, but why don't you buy your own copy?
It's the best and easiest way to get the answer.

Hm, it's temporally out of stock on Amazon.fr. That's bad.
The title is also "Pray in Abyss" in my French copy. Interesting why different title in English adaptation. Maybe needed a grammatical collection.

Is it? It seems to still be in stock here though: http://www.amazon.fr/Viewfinder-7-Ayano-Yamane/dp/2820316654/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422333978&sr=8-1&keywords=viewfinder+7
Well, about the title, my theory is that it's because in the original it's first written in Katakanas (Japanese pronounciation of English), then in Hiraganas (pure Japanese). Though both are obviously supposed to paraphrase each other, DMP just decided to make it different just because they could. I guess it works anyway, somewhat.
プレイ イソ アビス
Purei iso Abisu
Of course, Purei is the pronounciation for both the English "play" and "pray" in Japanese. Abisu is Abyss.
奈落で祈りを
Naraku de inori wo
Inori is indeed the infinitive for "pray". Naraku can be translated as "Hell" or "Abyss".
Play in Abyss: A Prayer in Hell
Imo that was kind of unneeded, but tolerable.

Yes, I meant English version.
And I didn't know this title has double entendre, I was surprised!
I simply thought sensei supposed the title to be "pray in the abyss", same as the Japanese title means, but somehow she might missed the article. Some Japanese people tend to forget to add it or don't much care about it.
By the way, "プレイ" sounds almost similar to "pray", "play" and "prey" for Japanese...who is the prayer, who is the player and who is the prey in the abyss...?XD

Yup and each one is numbered appropriately. And I thought about the translation for quite a bit given the contents of the piece. I interpret "play" to mean a drama-type play. An interpreter's job isn't to just find the same words but to also convey the meanings of what's being said. "Play" may be a typo or it might not. Either way, it gives me something to think about while I wait for the next chapter...

It's been puzzling me since forever, might as well just ask.
What is the things on the bottom right panel supposed to represent? Like, where there is the PIQUED!.

I seriously am not convinced by anything lol.

The bigger round part (where the word piqued is) is he shoulder - kind of shrugged or hunched up, and the line under the wrinkled fabric is the line from the shoulder to his neck - I think. So there is a gap above the line where the shirt is pushed up and below the line is the area leading to the collarbone.

Yeah, I see it now :P
I had trouble seeing the gap as a space of nothing and was wondering what the heck it was xD. And the fact that we don't see his neck or even his jaw line at all didn't help me on thinking that it was actually his shoulder.
As for the shirt I was starting to think it was a skirt :V.
So that was complete wtf.

Thanks a bunch for translating.
I've been thoroughly bothered by something ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
Why do people compare Akihito to a kitten? Just why? How the heck does that sound to native English speakers?
It's probably the number one reason I totally can't get into half of the fanfictions, it sounds so cheesy to me :')
Ithink one of the characters called him a kitten, once, perhaps it was Sakazaki, but I seem to recall reading it (it could just be a bleed over from my reading fanfics) but he is a little cat like anyway, as cats are not slavish like dogs, they are pretty independent and will claw and hiss if trapped where they don't want to be - this could be what draws the comparison??? (my speculation)
Not that his name makes him kittenish. (forgot to add that)
It's weird how often you see Asami call him that in fanfics, yet he's never once said it in the manga. I'm quite sure it has to do with his personality though. He can be very independent and feisty like a wildcat, but once you gain his trust, he does a 180 and is very sweet and (to Asami) submissive/cuddly.
It's definitely cheesy though. But not as bad as when they have Asami call him "baby". Then I just just can't.
I think it is because Aki is not passive which makes him resemble a cat. You know the kind of cat- touch me and you'll kiss my claws. Maybe Asami sees this in Akihito and he loves this.
I mean, I get it's supposed to be because he acts cat-like or something.
It's sort of annoying when 1) Asami never said that 2) Why even refer to him like that even in the narration 3) He says it in the fic all the time
Yeah, "baby" is pretty cheesy too xD. Then it becomes a major OOC. I guess people like them anyway if they continue to use those...
I don't really notice who writes which fanfic, or even remember which fic did, so I'm not pointing at anyone, I just felt like ranting about it ^^"
