I think our MC has suicidal tendencies bc of his low self worth. I think he had them before his heart operation and still has them. One of the most common forms of this that isn't the obvious like actually trying to kill ur self, is reckless behavior.
It's Passive Suicidal ideation, he has nothing to live for and feel like a burden so the idea of doing dangerous thing like this doesn't bother him. For him it seem he made this choice because he will either succeed in helping them or he will die doing so. This makes him feel like his life is worth something until he does die. More evidence is how willing he was to let himself drown. And I have a feeling the accident he was in that got him the heart transplant was likely caused by this behavior as well.

Yeah, As it says in the name it's basically the passive for of suicidal thoughts. Ie. Instead of "i should kill myself" it's "life would be easier/better if I were dead". They're not gonna actively swallow pills or shoot themselves, theyre the type to cross a street without looking both ways despite knowing better.
They have just as little attachment to the world because, just like the active suicidal person, they expect to die eventually. Him helping others until the inevitable is like how someone gives you something cherished before they off themself. That's the vibe he gives me. If that is the direction author goes I'll be very interested bc it makes him very dimensional as a uke.
Clicked this bc I thought it'd be a masc x masc GL not gonna lie. I like the art sorta as well and the skeletons. Having a not ashy black character is definitely a plus however bro has Vegeta's hair line ong. Well the premise o far isn't unique but it kinda is for the BL genre. I'll stay tuned
In the most recent chapter it shows grandpa dreaming about crossing over to our boys dead parents and a snake stopping him and i think that's snakes way of keeping grandpa alive. Honestly i hope that grandpa stays alive long enough to meet his "great grandkids". My mom always told me about how her grandma always talked about staying alive until i was born. So when I was she stayed alive just long enough to hold me and died a few days after. And I hope his grandpa gets the same opportunity.

I read the raws and honestly the blank staring personally begins to look less blank and more contemplative. It's hard to explain honestly, it is either like he is trying to figure out how he is feeling or like an obsession is slowly developing. And it's not like the stare itself is changing but it's his shift in actions. He is still sporadic in his fits of agression but now there is random wants for affection shoved in and during that affection it zooms in on his stares as if he is realizing something or thinking about something.
Or I might be reading into it but I'd like to think there is a reason we keep getting panels of his blank stares and that it's something to keep an eye on (budumpssst ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶)

I personally have some mild critiques but that is simply bc I'm an artist myself. Such as the incomplete hairlines. And when the artist adds blue it's contrast comes off high compared to the warm colors and that throws off the color palette. Cool colors on a warm palette already stand out so having them higher contrast throws the harmony off a bit and washes out the colors around them. (The contrast difference is honestly what bothered me the most i could ignore the lack of hairline bc a lot of 80's Shojo manga had vague hairlines as well lol and that to this day is a beloved art style).
On a more positive note, the style itself reminds me of "The Siren: Becoming the villains family" which has beautiful art, very whimsical. And because of that is separated its self style wise especially in the BL genre. Gotta love when they have a unique art style. Not that a lot dont have a style but it's like whenever you can tell an artist draws hentai lol just something about it shows in it and many BL art like that yk? This gives BL mixs with Villianess reincarnated/reverse time vibe arts iykyk.
I also appreciate an attempt to add more diverse characters. Freckles? Braids? Fantastic we love it.
As for the story the dialog is corny and I'm not sure if this is their first comic but it gives that vibe. I appreciate it none the less we all start somewhere.

This is MC first bdsm relationship, and he has also technically never been in a real relationship. That type of communication is usually developed with experience.
This is a complicated issue with the simple solution of communication. However some ppls biggest mistake when they see a complicated/difficult issue is they expect a complicated answer.
MC needs to nut up and ask but he isnt obligated to share his feeling especially in a contracted relationship which this essentially is(one as dom/sub and the agreement didnt include a romantic relationship). It is not unreasonable for him to separate himself from the contracted relationship when something that disrupts that contract/agreement emerges, but he needs to communicate that, explain their agreement no longer satisfies him and that is why he is leaving. But bro is in his early 20's so he is still developing that EQ, there are some 20 year olds who already have that EQ but he is obviously not one of them lol.
ML as the dom who is teaching/older/more power needed to sooner rather then later teach that the emotional aspect is just as important. MC's only experience is the ML and watching videos, as the more experience of the two the fault lies on the Dom with that, however, it seems like this is the first time he is teacher/leading a Sub so it's understandable he wouldn't be experienced in the teaching aspect. ppl often forget that just because you're well educated in a subject doesn't mean you qualify to teach.
They're both learning so these mistakes are expected and inevitable. It likely also doesn't help that the communication style commonly used in many cultures is subtly and not direct confrontation. Personally I can't imagine that communication style but I'm sure there are plenty of ppl who couldn't imagine being direct the way I am either.
I guess we will just get to wait and see.
This is one of those stories where you'd wanna get mad at the Mc for being so dense but there are so many people giving him the wrong information that it makes sense why he is assuming the ml doesn't like him.
And the Ml is like ones of those letters that say "do you like me □yes □no" except the dumb ass who wrote it only wrote "□yes □no" and is confused why he isn't getting an answer when in reality he never asked it.
The MC it's a certified idiot and somehow all the characters around him fall below the idiot line landing a bulls eye between dumbass and Jackass. They all have the emotional compacity of a monkey who eats his own turds.
