I initially enjoyed reading BL because its free of the gender standards in shoujo. There wasn’t that unfair power dynamic. But all the BL I see on here nowadays you can tell at a glance who the top is and who the bottom is and they act exactly like their position (seme acts masculine and ukr acts feminine). Im starting to get back into shoujo because I love genuine romance where both people can be themselves and have a personality like with haruhi and tamaki or nozaki and chiyo. Regardless I still love BL and would love if someone could recommend me BL with either no positions (no determined top or bottom) or a BL with fleshed out characters who’s positions are not obvious. I moved to shounen ai because of this absolute top nonsense I kept seeing but its even in shounen ai now

Any good bl with no submissive uke or dominant seme. Not only is it super cringe, it’s just not entertaining to see two people being dumb. I prefer bl which feel more like a love stpry and the characters have morals :D Preferably no heavy gender roles

This girl has purple hair she eats medicine to turn into a boy

Bl without gender roles it doesn’t have to be reversible tbh. I just hate when theres a super masculine seme and super feminine uke, it feels more like a twisted fantasy then a love story.

Just me who thinks omegaverse sucks 99% of the time?

    dazaislittlewhore March 3, 2021 5:53 pm

    they do

    Idfk March 3, 2021 5:53 pm

It honestly does suck a lot of times and I think that's really sad since it could be a beautiful way to allow fictional gay couples to have children but NO it's just used to have an excuse for normalizing rape, sexism and possessive behaviour

    Bangtan uzumaki March 3, 2021 5:57 pm

    Mhm
And for me the 1% is always saved by unromantic

    BeeHive March 3, 2021 6:01 pm

Yes that is also because 99% of them have the same main plot with the slightest tinny bitsy difference

    inumaki March 3, 2021 6:10 pm

    cause they do

    Mahk971 March 3, 2021 6:19 pm

Nope, omegaverse are trash. Same 4 plots sprinkled with lot of rape / pheromones / male pregnancy / segregation

1- Alpha hates Omega but falls in love with one
2- Omega hates Alpha but falls in love with one
3- Omega thought he was an Alpha until he met a real Alpha
4-Omega gets pregnant and run away without telling Alpha

They sucks when it includes omegas since omegas just have to be treated badly I always love fruitless relationships no doubt in even omegaverse I search for axa , bxb ,oxo, bxa , but not axo basically thts wht reading yaoi is all about forbidden , deep love some dominant people in society not common but uncommon I wonder who first invented omegaverse

Right any other pairing but axo is okay a lot of times but axo is heterosexuality all over again and that's not what we're here for

Just read the newest chapter of In the dark and I was BL where they flirt with each other or like each other right after meeting.

Hasegawa Tazio January 29, 2021 7:00 pm

There is one genderbend manga I think it only has a chapter thats what it had when I read it. Basically theres a boy who turns into a gurl when ever his heartbeat rises and his bully falls for this girl version of him.

Hasegawa Tazio January 29, 2021 1:54 am

I dont really think if its bl but its a manga thats about a gay mans real life where he speaks about how he struggled with being gay. I remember he finds a partner at the end but rather than romance it focus on his hardships accepting himself and coming out.
