If everytime I poop, it come money or gold instead of poop, then I will buy every chapter. 3/4 my salary goes to pay my parents debt that I dont even have money to buy something for myself, thats why I'm here.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m on here too but we need to stop using this as an excuse. Regardless of the reason, we are in the wrong. We just have to deal with it, it’s a hobby for us so it’s not a big deal. But for the authors, this is their livelihood. Let’s be real, if this site didn’t exist, and without money, we wouldn’t have been reading so much in the first place. Just bc we are poor doesn’t make it ok to steal.

i always buy the stories i like if i have leftover money at the end of the month. but i'm already an adult and have a lot more money than the teens that get like 30 bucks a month. also, i don't want to support the author if they end up doing shit, like normalizing rape or sexism etc etc. i won't know about that before i've read it

Just in case my point didn’t go through, in conclusion, nothing can justify what we are doing. Poor, minors, nothing. Cause using that logic, just bc are poor, it’s ok for us to steal clothes. Or to steal snacks, not even food, snacks. It’s wrong.

It is an excuse. And the truth too lol. I use this same excuse when I say I can’t buy all the manhwas I’ve read. We only make ourselves look more bad saying this. “I am poor that I can’t buy them all so I read it illegally cause it’s too much” that is an excuse to justify yourself for reading illegally. I’m sorry, for US reading illegally. I do it too.

we know it's not good to do. but it's not like the authors would profit otherwise. We literally DO NOT have the money to buy chapters legally. So if we wouldn't read it on here, we wouldn't at all. But through this illegal website those who DO HAVE the money can discover stories they like and buy them legally. without this site only the richies could buy stories, cause imma tell you i'd never buy some unknown story with the little money i have

One author doesn’t speak for the 1000 of other authors that are losing money. Still, that doesn’t make it ok for you to read illegally just because it looks like they have money.

I'm pretty sure they make enough money, their books get reposted everywhere, they're getting much more attention too. They're overreacting because their work got 'stolen'. In my opinion, they should be happy they have a bunch of fans on different platforms, supporting them in any way they can. As someone who knows what an author goes through, they're just greedy and unappreciative. Going overboard and spending their time complaining about how they're feeling about the situation, maybe they should spend it on getting money if that's what's always worrying them.

Ok, you know what? I was agreeing with you guys but this is far. You don’t speak for every author. You vs the other 100 authors who have a problem with this? Idk that speaks for itself. Many authors have explicitly said they don’t care about popularity, they even block everyone who read illegally on their social medias. Majority of them do it for money. It’s their income, They’ve said it themselves. You guys say legal readers act superior it but have you guys seen yourselves? Literal hypocrites. I’m done here. And spend their time on getting money? Them taking down their work is doing exactly that. It’s their work and they can do what they want.
