i PRAY that jurji and alexei's relationship doesn't have a tragic end, but it feels like it will bc of their circumstances and what type of genre this is. i don't even want to see them together, but i'm way more interested in their friendship and complicated history vs the main relationship's outcome rn. similarly, i wanna see what happens to alexei and t mac and other criminals.
lowkey, ML is a trashcan to alexie's pretty insane choices so i totally feel neutral about him as a character despite my overwhelming love for alexei (and by proxy, jurji). bc while i can sympathize with alexei's decisions that he quite literally played the best cards with the shitty hand he was dealt with, he basically never gave ML any autonomy, insight, or trust despite his obsessive interference. he's lowkey an abuser in that sense, regardless of the circumstances that driven him to do all those things. that fucks up a kid, esp if alexei was the only person that the ML was close to or knew the world through. but that's why i LOVE jurji- he quite literally knows alexei and his circumstances well enough for any relationship between them to feel sincere and not anxiety-inducing, and knows how fucked up alexei is (bc like,,, wtf is this dude doing, you know) but still cares for him and is willing to show it.
i hope jurji's character doesnt get twisted for the sake of the ML, or that he and alexei's relationship falls apart. but knowing how these stories go, jurji is basically collateral to the plot and to the main relationship.

i feel like this is the only school-fighting manhwa with minors where i truly believe there are actual stakes involved. also the only MC within that genre who i can truly think is both a good guy, as well as someone who probably can twist his morals for some fucked up, personal desires of wrecking havoc under the pretense of "justice."

this is probably the one manhwa where im genuinely not upset about the sudden plottwist of a lore drop that wang dam’s father genuinely cares for him and wants him dettached from his line of work. like i weirdly believe it, despite all the buildup and foreshadowing that suggested his father was lowkey his og villainous backstory. like i genuinely think author’s cookjng some crazy shit up

i love their character designs LOL. I love how you can't see Ponytail's eyes at all, and he comes off as carefree, reckless, and extroverted. but he's the one who's scarily indifferent to things he can't change, which actually pairs well with his go with the flow attitude. meanwhile glasses dude is contradictingly expressive through his rather dead eyes (or at least "dead" in the sense it's not as animated as most manga artstyles), which at first appears contrary to his seemingly professional and steady appearance, but ties in well due to his uptight/worrisome nature (which in turn, is why he's more bothered by others' circumstances versus his partner).
holy fuck this is WAY too good. i'm only on ch16 and it's crazy how well-paced such an action-packed story is. like for just a section fo 16 chapters, the insane amount of plot-movement, character introductions, and lore drops that were done in a natural manner where I didn't even realize how much I was intaking until i reflected rn, is crazy.
