did u understand that part at the end? i don’t understand like was anubis working with orisis the whole time? that’s why he said “don’t disappoint me this time?” and why anubis was asking orisis to save him? also why did he give anubis the same mask as seth and then basically say “walk into my arms” like please tell me i’m just reading too much into that and orisis isn’t trying to use anubis as a substitute or smth
Anubis want to become a god but to become one, he has to give up his strongest desire. That's what Horus explained to him to lift the curse. But for Anubis, his biggest wish is to come back to the happy days with Seth when he was a child. He want to become an adult to help his father becoming again the loving dad he used to know but for that he must give up his father affection (his trongest desire). A cruel dilema.
What I fera the most is that Anubis turn again Seth now that he has learnt that Osiris is his real father. In the egyptian myths, Anubis often fight against Seth to protect Osiris body. So... ╥﹏╥
literally wtf is up with isis i can’t sympathize with her or understand her purpose in cursing everyone.... “have they all been lying to me” bro seth was CHEATED on and then RAPED do you think he wanted this to happen
That too, but I'm looking at a different perspective. I'm just saying she can't be doing that just to get back on Osiris. And technically, Seth's Sin and Osiris's Sin are different from one another even though Osiris caused all these sheet to happen. Seth could be punished the same way she wanted and have his soul disintegrated, but why won't she snitch on Osiris? Seeing Isis's character, she would have admitted to Osiris's evil deeds if she won't suffer any losses. She'll get back on Seth, and hit Osiris twice. She loathes Seth to wish him absolute death, so her not saying anything about Osiris' deeds doesn't mean she doesn't want to divulge Seth's humiliating past and protect his mental health, so what gives? I don't think it's because of her blind love for Osiris either, so what else is there but his holy image and good reputation that's the only thing useful and would benefit her.
Anyway, this is just my take on what's going on.(≧∀≦)V
She gets that, but what she's mad about is why Seth did not come to her (confided in amd trust her with the truth of Osiris' misdeeds) and instead turned her into a tool and target to be manipulated and then was made to be ridiculed, then was trapped and made to suffer hundreds of years almost losing her divinity. Basically, she feels that Seth did not show her any consideration and took his anger at Osiris out on her too. In a way, I can see why it's easy for her to hate him as the "sly fox who bewitched and stole her man even if he didn't mean to and then casted her out. Regardless if Seth was hurt, that still does not give him the right to turn around and hurt Isis. From her POV truth his he is the source of the misfortune in her life even if he was also a victim.
As for Osiris, she even if she is conflicted about her love for him, she is still attached to him in name (and so is Horus), his shame would also mean their shame and so keeping the truth of what Osiris did would benefit them more that confessing. That does not mean she doesn't want Osiris to pay though. Killing Seth would not only serve as pay back to seth but it would also be the biggest blow she can give to Osiris.
So, while I don't like what Isis is doing, I would be lying if I said I did not understand her. Her character is flawed but in the way that it's entirely realistic and well written.
It's exactly what I was trying to say... I'm not that good with explaining, so it's a bit hard to tell, but yeah.
In my eyes, Isis has the mind of a true ruler, she's a schemer/strategists. Like what God of Chaos and destruction said, she's not someone innocent who would wage a war with everything she has on the line just for a good cause, there has to be a catch. So even if what she's doing is awful, like you said, it's realistic. Even if I hate her, I understand her actions as well. I find all the characters interesting as well, even Oshitsiris because of their depth and well written elements. Thanks for the insight by the way.
Well, I guess part of it is petty jealousy. She wouldn't be the first woman to take some anger out on their cheating husband's/boyfriend's mistress/other lover. Irl there are even cases of mothers who blame their daughters for "seducing" their partner even if the one in question was abused. It's messed up but it's a completely normal albeit irrational reaction that humans do for whatever reason. Isis isn't innocent in this story either, sorry if I made it sound that way. I just meant her actions while selfish makes sense.
im sorry horus is so funny he’s like “seth i want to be ur only child.... but my deepest desire is also to fuck you”
I fucking know right? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ but I think it wasnt the desire of being his son that he felt at first, it must have been a misplaced lust. He was a child after all, so he probably could not understand what he was feeling. But it was very obvious, even on their first competition, he was lusting after Seth. He had his father’s blood after all...
you know i might be in the minority but i’ve always liked sohee. i think she has a lot of opportunity for growth and a lot of potential to actually pursue those opportunities
i agree, i didn’t think greatly of her at first but its looks like her character development is something to look forward to plus her ability is pretty cool
ennead without context: man marries his sister which pisses off his brother who is in love with him and this causes the brother’s wife (who is also his sister) to also get mad and curse everyone and later on the brother’s son/the man’s nephew falls in love with him
The Alabama is strong with this one....
This is before Alabama lol
