Um. Just saying. You know she always intended on leaving him, and left a letter breaking up with him, right? And Doha is hopeful she'll rebound and fall for him. He isn't trying to get her to cheat (she's not only single, but he doesn't try to kiss her despite wanting to)- he wants her to fall for him and not go back to Asrahan. If a girlfriend leaves a boyfriend a letter saying "sorry but I'm leaving, bye forever"... they've broken up.
I'm not arguing your feelings or anything, but I wanted to point that out in case you missed a chapter or something on accident. I've missed parts of chapters before when some places post half-chapters. She definitely dumped Asrahan and left him. Even if it's all a big mistake, she still did so. Doha is aware that even if she has feelings for Asrahan, he also knew it was a temporary relationship and she had officially left as previously planned.

about lariette, the contract thing I really don’t blame her for it. I don’t like how she choose to date someone and make him fall for her when she knew she was going to die but she also deserved to be happy before dying, and a contract is a contract, she had the right to leave.
my problem is she constantly being so close with another man that was obviously interested in her, they were even meeting in secret and he treated her in her bedroom, there’s no way that larriete is so naive that she thought he was just a very good friend, and even if she thought, that not what a person that is dating should do. If doha started going after her now it is one thing, but he wanted to date her way before she broke up with asrahan and was clearly trying to get with her, that’s just not what a good person does.
I can’t really like lariette bc of her bland personality and I got the spoilers about doha so is hard to defend him after that, but you got some points and I can understand your view, thank you for being respectful about it too
Ah, yeah nah, I fully agree about lariette and for the same reasons, along with how much more she does later. The longer the story goes on, the more it felt like she only cared about herself (and kinda about ML). Personally, after reading the novel I actually became much more on Doha's side by the end. He's morally *dark grey* once in a while, but I usually could understand his reasoning. The ML is a good dude, definitely, but by the end the main couple kinda felt boring and self-absorbed and just.. yeah. You may still have a fresh, different perspective of the rest of the story than my view, but hope you end up still liking it as much as I did
