But with Penelope, she's only been focused on winning to get out of the game from the get go so at the very least this is what she's been trying for, and to be suddenly told you can't when you're so close to the end would make me crazy lolol

if you got teleported to a very mentally ill game, would u want to stay? she wants to go back because the game is so fucked up and her life is basically controlled by whoever is doing this shit rn. yes her real life and penelope characteristics and situations are pretty similar but if u compare it with penelope, penelope is living a lot more worse life. its only common sense for her to want to go back to her real life. unless she got reincarnated then obv she would stay but she still has a life out there

Hmm, I think anybody who gets transmigrated into another world would want to go back to their own world, regardless of how horrible their life was. It is important to remember that she was transported to this world by the game out of nowhere, and she probably prefers the familiarity of her own world. Besides, the life she's living rn is kinda similar to her life in her own world when she was still living with her family and as of now she still doesn't believe that Callisto is a safe enough route. And I'm pretty sure Yvonne is out to kill her and she knows that, and when she hard normal mode as a game she died many times and couldn't figure out a way to pass, so she fears that she will die like when she played the game. Anyway she is in full survival mode rn and doesnt want to die so yea.

We get your point. However, if you look at it with Penelope's perspective would you want to stay inside the game? It is as you said. She was from a neglectful family , she suffered, cried, and was abused until she graduated from college. Reading this, I can see how relieved and happy she was when she was finally able to get out of that hellhole. She have her own house, own life without anyone telling her what not to do, or without anyone who'll make her life miserable. It was supposed to be a beggining for her to finally do what she wants to do.

Suddenly, all that hope and excitement got erased the moment she was forced to be inside the game. All her efforts are gone to waste. Now, she's back in the hellhole. With a family so similar to her own shits of a family. A new life where one wrong move can kill you or worse make you feel pain you've never felt before. Always anxious about people's favorability in order to survive. A life where you get blamed eventhough you did nothing wrong. Her life on earth, was better compared to inside the game.

Yeah, I mean we may have our lovely and fierce loverboy highness, Kallisto, it still doesn't make it better for Penelope you know? Atleast not yet hihi. She actually hoped and thought Kallisto for sure loved her when he proposed to her, only to be disappointed for his reason that he only proposed because they are the same type of people. In conclusion, it's really hard to just love the world ypu've been thrown into, especially if it's in this game. But, even after all the things that I've written, I still hope that Penelope and Kallisto both realized that they love each other. Kallisto is slowly coming into it. It's now Penelope's turn to wake up and kiss your loverboy highness
