(Not to mention the uploading of scanlations which were stolen from private servers). This website is such a lawless land sadly.
I guess it's also because many uploaders and scanlators now are (idk how to describe it) newer breed? Back then, mg/dex and tumblr uploaded scanlations were the norm and most of the groups were really careful not to accidentally snipe a project bec. it would render their hardwork wasted since someone was already translating it. But I guess low quality scanlators in this site don't really have these worries, afterall they are just half assing their outputs.
I'm on chapter 9 and I almost gagged when the love interest did the heart hands. The author really captured the cringiness perfectly.
Its final conclusion, the rating will reach at least a decent 8.7 or 8.8 if not 9.0 or higher. Bruh I've seen stories with shitty plots and uninteresting uber-tropey characters *cough* stigma and jinx *cough* have higher ratings than this. Like I understand that this is just a piracy website and ratings nor comments here don't matter to the author but ugh if some ppl will be interested to read their story and actually buy the chapters through ratings, it's one way to show support even if it ain't much considering most of us are broke in today's economy. I can understand people who are maybe dropping this or rating it lower, because of the violent "sleepovers" two MC's are having. But i feel that some people don't even try to see beyond that and reflect a bit.
Each time i read something more compelling with a bit twisted character dynamic, people comment like "ugh red flag" "ugh toxic". Meawhile they be reasing a story that's been told 100000xtimes just so they don't have to use any brain power to understand it
The continuous update these two days. This story has been on my mind yesterday because it was so frustrating. I hope they can talk things out properly in the next chapter. Please mc do not blow this up! The love interest has been putting in effort to communicate clearly with you and dispel your fears. The least you could to is to be honest with your feelings towards him.
They were such a cute couple but what happened??? I regret reading this just right before going to bed. But to be honest, I kinda understand how the mcs mind works as someone who also self sabotages at times though not the same extent as him. It's just sad and painful to see how he keeps lying to the love interest and himself for the sake of protecting himself but stubbornly refusing to see that it's contributing to the fucked upedness of his love life.
That maybe some author's often go the bland redundant miscommunication route because they do not really put time to flesh out their characters or they fear that directly straightening up things might lead to bland storytelling (which in some cases do be true for me at least)
However, I feel like if they know how to craft good scenes like this chapter, direct communication stays interesting because of how much uniqueness is present in the mcs thought process you know? Makes you see things on a different lens. Like you can tell the author really put their time and effort to mould their ideal mc and understand how his mind works. Because I've read many BL stories where it feels like even the author is confused what type of person their mcs are.
Since the updates stalled. Now I'm interested to read this when I have enough time in my hands, especially noticing now that Moscareto authored this webtoon.
