hope im not too late lol but here are some random ideas i thought of that would be a parallel to our universe but some things changed
- the matriarchy is dominant (could be gender roles swapped, or perhaps you could write about what differences our society would have if mostly women were in charge)
- genghis khan succeeded in conquering every continent, therefore we no longer live in a world that's eurocentric
- humans live in the sea and we're exploring the land (like how we are exploring the ocean in our universe)
-dolphins evolved into sentient beings like how we evolved from monkeys, and there are two different kinds of sentient beings sharing a planet

And describe IT first :)) maybe there would be a different religion or form of belief, different names, powers? But would people be similar to us? Or will they look different? Maybe they came from different species than hominids? How long does that world existed? WHO ruled it? Were it filled with technology? Or magic or dark forces? This reminds of books about alternative universes of Disney movies, the one I remember is about Wendy going to neverland but instead of going with Peter I think she goes with Captain Hook. There are also some books that focus on the villain and how their actions were misinterpreted or from their POV. I also read one about the three little pigs and how the big bad wolf wasn't actually bad. Maybe you could rewrite a story about a villain? Maybe you could search in Wattpad, and find inspiration. (I’d recommend the book “Pick the Second Male Lead” by harui30, it’s really good. I liked the second arc the most and it’s when she transmigrated to a mob character (ex-wife of the ML) she gets to keep her child meanwhile she makes the second male lead fall in love with her, and she gets richer meanwhile her ex-husband and the fl end up in misery. I hope you get to finish your story before 9am (＾ω＾)

Because if it’s creative writing, then I suggest a world where cats rule supreme. Kind of like the warriors series, but without the violence or the needlessly wordy descriptions of everything. Or, a world where humans don’t have languages.

Ooooh or a (W.I.T.C.H. style) veiled parallel world, where the main character was actually from the other world but was brought to our world as a baby to save it from danger (winx club bloom)

It might not, it’s an old cartoon on PBS kids. Came out in 2003 I think. It taught me elementary level math so well that I was put one grade ahead ヾ(☆▽☆)

Ahh that reminds me of a book that broke my heart lol. It’s about a girl that ends up in a comma and she also has an older brother, in the end she transmigrated to an Otome world that one of her school friends (anther) wrote based on her and her brother. she ends up being the villainess, but she’s only a child so she starts to fix her relationship with her older brother (he’s a target character). She befriends the prince (fiancé), the knight and other characters, including the fl (who also transmigrated and is from her friend group). What destroyed me was that her friend(the author) communicates with her in a spiritual way (ghost) and tells MC that because she changed her behavior, the plot and characters also changed and if she didn’t become the villainess and died in the end, her friends and family were going to die because of the plot, so she ends up going back in time and has to make everyone hate her while also trying to forget her old memories with them. In the end she gets killed by them and her friends remember their “past life” (or before she reversed time ) and they all cried regretting killing her. Good thing is that she ends up back at her world and the first person she sees is her real brother and believes her transmigration is just a dream. Sorry for the long text, I just had to get it out of my system lol
