Basically it works like this: salesman finds customer who buy insurance. Salesman then collect information from customers, including their medical history, and submit their application. Auditor will check those application, investigate both in the background and by interviewing customers, to find any problem or mistake or fraud in the application. If it’s passed, customers pay money and they get insured. If it fails, they may start the application again with complete information. The auditing is very important because there are insurance packages that will not be sold for people with a certain history of illness. The old man in chapter 1 didn’t regard to his high blood pressure as a serious illness and didn’t mention that in his medical history, that’s why his application was failed after the auditing.
