Its upsetting that KS antis are stating that by liking this manwha and its character, they are by default homophobic, racist, promoting abuse, etc etc and worst these antis told all fans of KS to die/ kill themselves.
I get that this genre is not for everyone. However, homophobic? where did they ever get this. Sangwoo did not abuse/held captive yoonbum because yoonbum is obsesses with him. Its because yoonbum find out about his true nature. If Koogi made yoonbum a woman instead of man, I doubt that these antis will cry that this manwha is heterophobic.
Racist???? This puzzle me even more. All of the characters are korean right? the victims, the killer, the stalker, the police, everyone.
Promoting abuse??? did they even understand that this is fiction? When I read manga/manwha I tend to bent my morals. There are lots of popular yaoi such as viewfinder, Hidoku Shinaide that depicts rape. Does this mean, all fans of these manga agree/promote rape. OF COURSE NOT, its because its fiction, its not real.
If they don't like KS, that is fine. If they think that KS is sickening/disgusting, well they're entitle to their own opinion. But thrashing the fans because they don't like it, now I have a problem with that. Also, telling the fans to go kill themselves is a bit of hypocrite cuz they hate what sangwoo did and yet told the fans exactly what sangwoo good at - Killing.
Ah I've seen a couple. My friend posted this so I wasn't sure how common it was.

On Tumblr the thing to do is unfollow them and hope they get followed by porn blogs. If they started looking like a group that acts in real life (e.g. neonazis), then we would need to worry about taking action. But when they lack power to act, I think those types are best ignored.*
*Not that I have the discipline to do this. I tend to answer back too much.
Hmmm... Tumblr. That explains it. If artists/writers/filmakers listen to Tumblr ranters who are nearing the Lunacy Fringe, every single book/comic/movie out there would be boring and bland. Them wanting to ban every single triggering thing is so laughable it hurts. Why does everything need to be political? I need fiction to stimulate my mind and make me ask questions not just to stuff me with rainbows and unicorns. This is why I love Harada. This is why I like KS.
Are you single? Cause I wanna marry you, LOL.
Seriously though, I need more people like you in my daily life.
Haha... Yes.. LOL. Tru tho. People who are chill with controversial topics in fiction are harder and harder to come by (but thank goodness for the interwebs). I understand where SJWs come from but it doesn't mean that something has some unsavoury topics on it, that it promotes said thing. What I don't like about SJWs is that they don't trust that we have a brain capable of discerning fiction from real life. Some may root for a person like Sangwoo in fiction but it doesn't mean that they're a bad person and they then all want serial killers be released from prison. It's hard to be fascinated by questionable characters these days without being dissed.
If you like Sangwoo, fine. If you want Sangwoo jailed, fine. We're all just enjoying some fiction here. No need to get judgy about us as a person.
Again with this discussion...
Ever heard of "catharsis"? Many people "like" this genre because it helps them externalize and exorcise common fears and feelingst lack of control in the safe context of fiction. That actually HELPS them to keep their sanity. No problem if that's not YOUR case, but try to think more of other people's reasons for thinking and doing things before judging.
Oh, oops! Sorry! I misunderstood, my mistake. Please forget I said anything... *sweat drop*
Absolutely--but it's fictional psychotic. Fictional crazy is so much more entertaining than real crazy, because in fiction, there is usually a reason. It may not be rational, but it is something we can follow. In fiction, there is always a childhood trauma or event that lays the seeds, and then you can connect the dots to see why a person does the awful thing. In real life, crazy sometimes makes no sense, and it is hard to find a cause or causes. But taking things apart this way in a story can show us how it works, and it can be kind of interesting. Does that make sense?
I know people have limitations on what they could enjoy reading/watching and okay, fine if you do. They could go and bash on social media and okay, it's their freedom to do so and good for them to let their feelings out. But isn't it counterproductive? It really won't make people who enjoy something like KS from reading it.
I'm not really sure if I'm getting what you have said. But if we're still talking about KS being psychotic as its level of sanity (that even people who like cruel things wouldn't like it). Trust me, it isn't even the worst offender out there. But I understand... the more popular the material is, the more bashers it gets.
It makes absolute sense. The reason it's so cathartic is that it gives the explanations we often lack in rl.
I agree with you there. Language such as "normalization" and "problematic" tends to be associated with parts of the "left wing", but moral judgements, "family values", and trying to tell others what to do can be very right wing. My personal politics are fairly 'left' in the real world--I just think that the place to start fighting for justice is where it matters most--in people's lives.
Rather than "SJWs", "pro-right" or "pro-left", I'd call them self-entitled, annoying, and excessively mob-mentality-oriented, no matter their political affiliation.

They are my favourite couple in Nanatsu no Taizai universe.
They are my fav too but I love all the pairings in the Taizai. Nakaba sensei really knows how to get you invested in his characters & their love interests. He really is amazing.
