I prefer Manga. I don't have a whole lot of free time and I have trouble getting invested in long stories, so I prefer the short, sweet and sexy style of manga. BL is more like an indulgence for me, I go to it when I don't want to think to hard or be confronted with anything complex or unexpected (or when I'm horny lol). So I don't mind if the plot......
African-American female, straight, 40 (hurts to write that), Life Insurance Underwriter, Khaz Modan (server rather than city). I read yaoi constantly. Found it about 8 years ago and I love it. I did not know that I could be entertained by watching men together until a conversation I had with some folks online. I raised the question of why men l......
Japanese manga. Because manhwa will take too much chapters or pages just to portray a simple scene and I kind of find it annoying. Don't roast me over this, I love them both but as our ancestors says, "You can't serve 2 masters at the same time"
For Yaoi it really doesn't matter to me, both are great tbh. But as for yuri, Korean manwhas have left me absolutely s h o o k. Japanese mangas for yuri tend to be mostly be overly moe, high school girls and I'm not into the cutesty school girl genre really. It's okay, but I prefer working older women and college girls. With Korean webtoons coming......
I like both. To be honest, there are some good yaoi manga and some that suck just like there are also some good korean webtoons and some that suck. I'm just don't want to limit myself and end up having a lot less to read as a result when I don't even have to. Yaoi is yaoi, and I'll take it where I can get it as far as manga and webtoons are concern......
Manga, hands down. I just really hate the way webtoons are constructed. It's like one panel and then TONS OF WHITE and then one panel and TONS MORE WHITE and I just can't even-- Webtoons are more indie though, which is likely where the sense of realism comes from. While it's true I do prefer that kind of story I just find the deliver method so agg......
I like them both, but if i really have to pick one, i would prefer manga. I agreed with you about korean webtoon last for a longer time, but i think 1 chapter of manga can pack much more story than 5 chapter of webtoon because webtoon have so many blank space between each panel. But still, i like them both, and in the end it's all depend on the plo......
I like manga better, overall. I've only found a handful of webtoons that I've liked. The premises of webtoons I've read have been at extremes of a spectrum, where the protagonist is either very generic and boring with a very generic and boring love interest, or he's a doormat wrapped up in some abusive psychological warfare with the love interest. ......
Both. It depends on the story/plot and the art style. But I prefer reading Japanese manga most of the time because I find most of it more eye pleasing [because it's black & white :D] than Korean webtoons. I only read webtoons if it's plot is really interesting or if the colors used in the art is not too bright.
Japanese Mangas...It seems that Korean webtoons or manhwas have more unfeeling or uncaring psychos. I especially do not like their ukes...They do have good looking and modern looking characters. My overall preference is yaoi so that's my basis for my reasoning. (▰˘◡˘▰) Lol
There are a lot of Korean web toons I love but I'll always prefer Japanese manga. There are so many different genres and different styles of work of it, so I don't know how you manage to only find the ones you dislike. I believe there's something for everyone, and I've read lots and lots of cute and full of love mangas. But my main reason is the ar......
Japanese manga over korean webtoon. Why? I don't like the panel placement for webtoon, it usually takes 3 or 4 long ass pages just for a simple scene. Lots of webtoon has such unique and fresh plot I admit, it gives me excitement when I read it first time but then I'm getting tired of it because the story progressing way too slow it feels like runn......
Never fear OP, there are many like you, and let me let you in on a little secret: as jealous (not quite the right word, I know, but it shortens a very long description) as you feel now, in the next few years, it'll be better. There have been studies, slowly coming out, (I'm going to try to find some when I can, but I know they're out there) that pe......
yup, totally did it xD not my proudest moment but it was fun HAHAHA. but eventually I progressed to writing fanfics about celebrities and for some reason, I felt more comfortable?? hahah maybe it's just me
Well... I want to? There's two classmates of mine that I kinda ship, Guy A and Guy B. Both of them are roommates and both of them claim to be straight. Guy A has a girl and Guy B had just gotten his heart broken by one. However, Guy A always jokes around and say that B likes guys and B's gay... Then it's A that goes around pinning B!!!! I MEAN, WHA......
Kidzudarake no Hakoniwa by Maki Masaki is pretty hardcore imo. It features a yandere hottie as the seme! Also, Yandere Hitotsu Yane no Shita by Akane Haru is pretty hardcore. Any manga written by Sakira is also pretty hardcore and smexy. I've also got Bara recommendations for anyone interested.
I haven't have a crush for a long time (T ^ T)
What is your opinion about Yaoi stories from Manga, Manhwa, and Manhua? Whi...
