I literally broke up with my first gf (im lesbian) bc she wasn't aware of our situation at all. she bragged about me to her friends (outing me btw) and those friends told their parents. we were in highschool and my country is mostly christian and conservative. I told her that it was not nice but she didn't see the problem since I was out to my mom. But the thing is I wanted to be out just to MY mom. I didn't want everyone to know yet.
