Robin isn't straight though. He just assumes he is because of how comphet our world is (comphet = compulsory heterosexuality) and that's how he's been taught how to act. He clearly didn't have any romantic feelings towards his ex-girlfriends, he just assumed he did. It's also super difficult to tell what a crush is when you experience it for the first time as an adult, and we clearly see Robin slowly come towards that. (Just wait for the next season, we'll be seeing Robin blushing hard preeetty soon (I think the first season is 43? Chapters))

Of course, he could be attracted to women, but not necessarily romantically or even sexually. It could be just aesthetic attraction. He could be in the aroace spectrum and need a very close emotional bond before even considering catching feelings. But what Lee Robin is, is that he definitely isn't straight lmao

As for Hangyul, he's had this crush for years. He also assumes Robin is straight, just like Robin does, and thinks he has no chance. He doesn't want to sacrifice their current relationship and Robin's comfort over his feelings. And... confessing is scary, especially when you think the other person will never like you back. Or just thinking about their answer is nervewracking. For some it's easier to just suck it up, not say anything, and deal with his feelings on his hoping. These feelings are complicated and I think the series shows good examples of that.

Right this is probably one of my favorite subtle depictions of comphet I've seen in a while the signs are all there from the way he talks about his ex girlfriends and they way they talk about him to him pointing out that something's missing to his utter obliviousness that the intense desire to be around Hangyul (he's in near tears because his roommate didn't say goodbye to him before going on a trip for what like two or three months a trip that was planned and he was informed about several weeks in advance that's not roommate/ friend behavior and I think even he is starting to figure that out ) and the fact that he's literally constantly on his mind is fascinating to watch

i prefer the japanese stories the most since they rarely have plots like this one (they tend to have some wholesome if not cringey stories). But the korean manwhas have good art style and coloring. Then again some of these arts are wasted on these subpar plots.

I don't really discriminate whether it has color or not but I do prefer the format if its easily be read or strugglesome. Regardless, if the plot was really nice and comfortable, I'd really bet into that even though I have trouble reading the dialogues and textboxes. For me

Character setting>Plot>Format>Artstyle.

Tbh, I based mostly on the characters. If the characters all were shitty, then drop that madafaking shit in no time. If it's green, then gooo. This one though, plot and art style was wasted by making the characters shitty and red. Wanna punch the author not the artist

Honestly I’ve been here for 10+ years reading and there have always been stories like this, but I think the alpha omega trope is popular and goes with these type of fucked up situations. Before it was just a weak and small mc but now authors can use omega traits as a reason to justify actions. So in some ways it’s not new, but it has been changed to current trends and styles. I think there’s still enough fluff and other story types being published to say it’s not “new readers” or anything like that. It’s the classic don’t like it, don’t read it. Personally with this story I like the art and I love mafia plots but I think this may be too much for me as it’s violence without any explanation for the reader （￣へ￣）

To me, this is more like a thriller (i dont actually know what to call it) than something kinky. I a sort of anger for them mc and want to know what happens to him. i want to know if or how this situation will continue, and what happened in the past. To me i dont think this is a kink thing other than sex being part of the story. And i dont actually think of them as having a romantic relationship either

But that being said, if they start trying to redeem that guy after all this, or things start going too far, idk if i can stick around for that
