Reo is characterized as a broken gay "slut" who yearns for love so he fill that part of his heart with sex as most young gays of this generation are doing. I can relate to most what Reo went through except for the child abuse part. How he down those booze and cover himself with smiles laughter that's not genuine while going out with multiple men just so he felt fulfill is so real to me. I understand how it feels to be so in love with one guy only soon he reveal that he's either straight or "I have a girlfriend who's pregnant". Those sharp words that cut your feelings like knives but you cover them with facade. I understand them through and through.
Shige is a man that we all need. Not a straight-turn-gay man kind of way but someone who is there for you, gives you comfort like a warm blanket on a cold day.
