crying bc i just saw the chapter 71 raws fuck my life
i swear to god i always like the love interests who die :////////
i need to take a break from this loll
spoilers........................................................................................................
i can't read japanese so i don't know the context behind it but i saw in the raws that richard executes buckingham ://///
he wasn't perfect but he was my fav after edward died whyyyyyy
they both looked so sad while doing it too it broke my heart like yo ╥﹏╥
i finished this and i don't feel super sad or anything i just feel kinda empty... idk i guess that means to buy the physical copies and read the whole thing over again lol
spoilers for people who haven't read it:
the ending of this makes me feel so empty as well. in the end, it doesn't really seem like he's any happier. he wasn't able to kill himself so he just has to live with what he did forever (which might be the morally right choice but not the easiest one), his destined love was driven to commit suicide by him, his relationship with sachi remains ambiguous and he takes care of the kid she had with another guy... it's kinda like what was the point of anything? he's destined to be like this forever, never truly being happy and just living for the sake of living. let me know if u guys disagree lol i want to talk to someone
i ageee with rhis totally after i read i was like man this ending is just ... meh? like its just like welp. its over now. crazy how that all happened but life just keeps moving like its feels hopeless in a way. like in life, ppl struggle 2 define what gives meaning & their purpose. well, punpun decided his purpose had something 2 do with aiko. but now that its over, he seems unchanged. punpun is a frusturating character, who is a product of his circumstance, but through out the story i was frusturated at his self-centeredness. not 2 mention he was obsessed with the idea of being with someone, without understanding who he was at first. his unnamed relationship with sachi is frusturating, if they had clearer communication they might actually be able 2 have a healthy relationship, but it ended up being a toxic one. also how the fuck did we just eventually stop talking about what happened between punpun and his uncles gf. like when i read that i was so disgusted at humanity, i thought she was a nice person but how did she come 2 THAT conclusion that THAT was what she wanted. punpun was a fucking middle schooler & lost his virginity 2 his psuedo-aunt. its fucked up.
came back (since i read this a while ago) to say that this is my #1 fav manga and i loved it so much that i bought physical copies of it. highly highly highly recommend, this is a masterpiece.
also i just love that ending lol. so many missed opportunities for friendship. +, that day Kenji though that playing 20th century boy in school had changed nothing, but he'd actually saved someone's life. you never really know what's going on with other people i guess.
this whole manga oozes nostalgia, even if i was never alive during this time.
