honestly this story was SO relatable to me on both mahito and shuu’s side. that scene with all the girls with shuu?? relatable especially when you’re wanting actual love and not superficial love, so many people are obsessed with their partner being “the best.” it’s so hard trying to find someone when all they look at is the outside and don’t care to get to know you. i’ve had to reject and ignore so many guys that don’t bother to get to know me and my interests and just like me for my appearance. mahiro though, the insecurities and suddenly improving your self image because of bullying was the exact same thing that happened to me, hit super close to home. the sudden glow up and having people finally show interest in you makes you want any type of love, so i understood why he kept trying to push shuu away because honestly? same
