I can’t wait for the next chapters! At first, I think it was his Stockholm syndrome talking when Yeo Dam wanted the emperor to be saved. After all, with everyone who he was close with dead; in a twisted way, the emperor is the one closest to him in that lifetime. Which I think was purposely done by that emperor so that he could be the only “one” in Yeo Dam’s life. With all the traumatic things the emperor has done to him in his past lifetime, it is justified that he would hate him that much.
That’s why the emperor’s redemption arc here would be so good because now with the values taught to him by Yeo Dam and his experienced with the common folks we could see how nurture plays a role in shaping a person’s personality. It’d probably be hard for Yeo Dam though, after all 8 or more years is still not enough time to forget the traumatic things that happened.
That’s why I really can’t wait for the next chapters!!!
