He's a complete psycho but we definitely can't say he doesn't love her. In his very very twisted way, he was going to make.chloe the happiest woman if it weren't for her discovering the letters.
Perhaps he wanted her to at some point, considering he never got rid of them, for her to snap at him when she had no place to run further down the line.

U know what I like?? The fact the drawings make her look like an adult. Idk but whenever I see a manga where it's like 'they treat me like a kid cuz I'm short' the personality is always childish or they draw them weirdly. Dunno how to explain it...
Child-coded vs. Adult-coded characters.
There are various ways to tell, but basically if you can increase or decrease the age of the character significantly and it will *not* seem strange, then they've probably been coded.
E.g. If they introduced MC as a 13 year old, that would be extremely weird. She might be petite, but she has an adult body, mental maturity, a career, and lots of bodily autonomy. So she's not child-coded because she does not look or act like a child.
YouTube has some really good breakdowns on identifying child-coded/adult-coded characters in anime, and there's lots of written research too! (sorry I'm a nerd about this kind of thing )

Like the story is funny but its like...they try SO hard to make the FL the butt of every joke. She's the only crazy and hysterical one, a diva and not in the good way, I feel like the ML deserves someone way better.
She rejects him and then acts grumpy that he might like someone else, she's a doctor clearly she knows that she's attracted to him? Kinda want her to get her heart broken by the blonde, then again I feel like that would only make her more dramatic. Also she's fucking rude? Like if you hate country life why the fuck move there? You could have graduated, and then moved to a different city than where your father is to work at a different hospital. He'll, you could have gone abroad?
Starting to.dislike her very much, the only saving point here is the art.

Thé last chapter is telling us how traumatised she is and how difficult it could be to deconstruct social bias you were taught since birth. And being a doctor doesn't give you émotional maturity, quite the opposite in fact !
And she CLEARLY explain since the beginning why she came to the country side. Plus, she's not that rude, she is in her Head, but she doesn't Say anything most of the time
Ch 2.10 and she's kinda annoying me. Like, if a guy tells you he loves you, don't tell him you're happy about his confession? Also calling someone by their first name when you can't even say your own boyfriend's, whether it's embarrassment or not just sucks.
Like I thought this story was gonna go about it a different way, she's giving ditsy which i guess is about every girl in Mangas like this. I feel like the other guy is going to be a thorn in the story simply because she's got no backbone. I could be wrong but nothing in the story so far makes me want to actually take time to read it. Art's cute tho
