If you think this is BL-esque, wait till you get vol. 6 & 7 of the webnovel (ch. 37 of comic = novel vol. 2). CAUTION: Spoilers below!
- Our MC & ML share a hotel room (number 3021, if you must know) when escorting alchemist lady to Pyongyang
- During this trip, Kim Dojin stares at Yuseong’s face when he’s sleeping (!?), then goes to the shower and vows to “uncover Choi Yuseong’s secrets”
- Both of them get injured by a poison-type Villain. When Yuseong wakes up & realizes that Dojin isn’t there, he panics, then convinces himself that “it’s normal to help him heal, I am just worried b/c Dojin is the MC & it’d be bad for the world if he died”
- Helen the alchemist asks if they are friends or lovers. Kim Dojin pulls out a sword, asking Helen if she wants to die. 1 of them (not clear which) says “unfortunately I have no interest in men.”
- In Vol. 7, Choi Yuseong acknowledges that b/c of his involvement, Dojin didn’t meet a dude who was super important to his development arc. Yuseong then proceeds to say that it’s fine, b/c he has knowledge too, and (I kid you not) “I am enough for Kim Dojin.”
Might post more spoilers, but that depends on whether my source emails me back.
Be warned, I got this info from a Korean friend who refused to give me more spoilers (or chapter numbers, for that matter) so it might sound not gay at all once we get context.
