There will be a redemption arc and I personally think this is merely the start of it.
We need to acknowledge Jk's character for a while and how stubborn and arrogant he is and this will apply to how he develops as a character. It's not like his development is going to be a steady upwards, it's clear he will have a much more 'interesting' and varied path to redemption (or I hope so.)
To allow someone like Jk to simply have a perfect character arc within a few chapters is honestly boring and not satisfying — realistically and in storytelling. As per Kim Dan, I feel like he is developing as a character as well (yes, even after willingly offering his body). He is tired out and just wants to cut things quick, let the boy breathe. He has also grown a much needed backbone which personally, *chef's kiss*.
Let's approach this story with a bit more nuance because it truly is an interesting look into the characters' psychology of both Kim Dan and Jk.

Okay so to begin, I completely and utterly do also hate Jkyng with a strong passion too but guys... Let bro have a way to actually have an arc
Like I've said previously, "I want hm to be a sopping, pathetic, man" but I also want to see his progression. I think it is already a good sign that Jkyng is not immediately justified neither did he immediately become a good/likable person.
As much as I am hesitant to, I am putting a bit of trust in the author that there would be an actual arc. Inevitably, of course, Kim Dan and Jkyng will eventually end up together whether we like it or not (Granted, Kim Dan deserves wayyy more than him)

Stockholm syndrome goes crazzzyyy

Like but he folded so fast, I didn't even have time to process, to cry, to forgive someone like there are stages to this. The fighting arc went by too quick. The medicine arc the taking care arc. The question feelings arc, the running away arc or the letting them go on purpose arc ITS GOING TOO DAMN FAST
DAMN KD DIDNT KNOW YOU HAD A BACKBONE LIKE THAT
