Wife? Mama? He's a man for god's sake

ヽ(`Д´)ノ

    KokoCocoa October 6, 2019 10:58 am

They're referring to him as 'wife' and 'mama' because most omega males that have given birth are usually referred to as that. Although it is a bit weird Σ(っ°Д °;)っ

    Sajumi October 6, 2019 11:07 am

Is weird and really unnecessary, he's a man, he identified as a man, so use male pronouns.

I really don't like that in omegaverse comics/Mangas.

    KyoZaNa✿ October 6, 2019 11:08 am

Don't you know.. Gay-Uke in real life call themselves "wife this-that" and call their lover-Seme, "hubby this-that".

    Sajumi October 6, 2019 11:20 am

I'm a gay man and I never call my partner husband or wife or girlfriend he's a man too so I use male pronouns with him.

I know people are like that too, I know some, but in the comic is kinda weird because gives a strange vibe that the uke/omega need to be small and fragile, while the seme/alpha is the man the strong one

I see where you're coming from but this has nothing to do with that. It's just a difference in culture. The Japanese like to jokingly call their favorite anime characters "yome" (meaning wife) regardless of gender. For example, my yome is Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul (nope, but an example). The author simply preferred to use wife and mama in his/her story especially since he's the one who gave birth. It's just preference. Respect that.

oh & don't forget! this is translated. the korean version may have had a better term for this whole thing. many times the actual language sounds better and more natural than the translated works.

    snowrin October 6, 2019 11:58 am

he is a mother and not a father because he's the one who gave birth, but yeah i agree about the wife thing; they should've referred to him as husband.

    Fujoshi-sama October 6, 2019 12:27 pm

The wife thing, I don't think it's weird. But I would've also preferred they called Hyesung husband cause he's a dude. But what can we do, that's what the author wants.

Sajumi July 14, 2019 12:52 pm

I really dont like it when they call men "wife", they are men, call them husband, regardless of what their role is, they are still men

    bangchanism July 14, 2019 2:13 pm

Right. At first I honestly thought his 'wife' is a girl gRR

    kitty July 14, 2019 3:30 pm

i think in this case it's meant to be a gender-neutral term when regarding the male/female sub-trait of their gender. Hyesung is mentioned as a mom, so i think the label is more related to if they're an omega or not, as they can reproduce like women thus resulting in the use of female pronouns. just my guess tho
