omg it's so interesting to read about real mythology with these characters!

Mythology has a lot of variations from region to region tho. Like im not denying all of what you said but there are certain variations where he's worshipped with horus as well as a combined form where both of them rule egypt togetehr one upper egypt one lower Egypt. Also pls dont hate me but in this manhwa seth actually DOES love horus. He loved nephyths too but its not that he's never loved horus or never will. There are so many types of love and what he shared with neph was indeed a harmonious marriage even if their married life was doomed from the start. But if u re read the last two panels youd see he never wanted to break up with horus. He kept saying they'll talk later he just wanted to go meet nephyths because their parting wasnt good n with such a huge misunderstanding finally coming to light a confrontation was much needed but horus in his insecurities and immaturity misunderstood Seth. I mean he knows seth best. He knows even if seth were to love him seth was a guy of honor and loyalty and he would obv put his former family first for now.. mind u, the big reveal abt neph not cheating didnt shock seth as much as mirror lying to him abt horus fake love. His eyes literally went vacant and he repeated the mirror's words. In last ch we see him mutter that he knew nobody would really love him for himself and this is also one of the reasons why he wanted to run away so much. He feels betrayed emotionally and wished to sought refuge in comforts of familiarity n nostalgia a place of the past where he thinks he would be welcomed aka neph.

I know lore accurate seth is a guy who loves his wife neph dearly in all popular variations but there are some variation routes where he's with horus too ahaha. 1) Seth abused their son to the point Anubis commited suicide (revealed in chapter 19);
2) Seth imprisoned her sister who was innocent (Isis), and even threatened to rape her;
3) Seth turned the kingdom they had strived to protect into a nightmarish hellhole.
4) Seth not only killed women and children, but destroyed their souls, denying them an afterlife.
5) Seth put a deadly curse on their son's arm, that almost erased their son's existence.
6) Seth never told her about Osiris' repeated attempts to get their son killed, sacrificed, or mistreated and having his mouth stitched.

Thanks for being respectful, its a rare occurance nowadays, Seth's stories are one of my biggest passions, but i feel like he tolerates Horus, putting up with his antics rather than outright loving him. Seth is a good guy at heart, like see how sweet he was with that kitten. I know that this story goes off a less popular version of the mythology (plus its a super watered down version of it lol). But yeah, its a fanfic basically, but to me even in this story Seth and Horus have absolutely no chemistry lol (￣∇￣")

Egyptian mythology is one of my keen passions too so I love this manhwa a lot and am always enthusiastic to speak about it. And I agree ! It sure might seem they have no chemistry since they got together fairly recently but from my pov( srsly all respect to your own pov) I saw how much dedicated n devoted horus is towards him and how seth was beginning to open up to jorus as well despite all his trauma n everything. And based on hieroglyphics translations I have faith on mojito for fleshing out horuseth properly. And if Horus rhe elder and past life seth lovers theory comes true we will have a proper drawn out new perspective om their relationship as well.

Oh and theres also this hieroglyphic mural in the manhwa which translates to "seth loves horus" its in chapter 73 from season 1. Mojito hides cryptic messages n spoilers in ennead's murals and someone posted a megathread translating all of them from s1. Have u seen them? I can link u theyre really fun! You are going based off of mythology but this story is clearly not following the exact mythology. This is a fanfiction and if you don't like the main couple being together I really wonder why you're still reading.
Also related to the point you raised about Seth not being gay, I'm talking about this comic because we are literally in it's comment section. In this comic Seth consensually had sex with Horus in the past few chapters if you remember.
Also Seth isn't a complete victim because a lot of the things that he went through(in this comic) were the consequences of his own actions. He even tried to r*pe Horus at the start which I've never seen the rest of the Seth defenders (not you specifically) address

In case you want to read it again it is chapter 29 and 30. Sekhmet verbally hints to Seth that he should r*pe Horus so he listens to her. She doesn't put any spelling on him no curse nothing. Seth does it if his own volition. But at the end of chapter 30 after Horus overpowers him you can see that Horus' eyes have changed into catlike eyes. This shows that Sekhmet placed a spell on Horus

In the most recognised version of the mythology, one of the trials was given by the God of male fertility. He deemed the one who had received his opposition's seed would lose. (Essencially who can rape the other the quickest), Set never got around to it as when he was in the planning stages Horus "came unto his lettuce" (aka raped him first) and Set lost the trial and got pregnant and died as his child crawled out of his head. (This hippo goddess is the one featured in moonknight ironically)

For my point previously, in this comic, Sekmett did some freaky mind magic to Seth making him crave Horus.

Once the seed of doubt had taken hold..." Later in that chapter, Sekhmet says: "Seth unconsciously believed that he was weak (...) I didn't cast any spells on him, all I did was heighten his doubts. Osiris imprinted a sense of weakness in him (...) You're right, under normal circumstances, Seth wouldn't have been fooled so easily, however... what if I were to tell you that Nephthys was the one who sealed the deal?"

There are many variations of Egyptian mythology some are influenced from greek pantheon and some adopted from or to nubian society as well. Horus himself has a lot of variations. There's proto horus aka montu who existed as major worshipping diety before horus was popularized in late pre historical egypt. Theres also Ra horakhty which is when horus devours Ra and Horus The elder who's 5th and youngest sibling after osiris isis seth neph. In some lesser known variations thoth is said to born as result of horus and Seth's union that arises when chaos and order are balanced, like some interpret horus n seth as thoth. So what i mean is ultimately it depends on readers and enthusiasts which version theyd want to pick and roll with. Like I get the other ppl who dont see much chemistry or horuseth development because its less so far which is obv cuz its a slow burn n romance isnt the main plot here but there are moments, panels, expressions, dialogues n gestures that exist that one can analyse to see how horuseth complete eo in this manhwa n hopefully we will see more of it in future chapters n s3
