Past cannot be changed, they already happened, what's important is what you do and can you do NOW.
Ludia/Lydia was given a chance to relive her life. Her past and other timeline has already happened and will never change. What's important is her PRESENT ACTIVELY FIGHTING TENDENCIES and doing what's best for Rica. Even when she thinks she's about to do something she thinks is right, she pauses and analyzes over and over if that's what she should really be doing, if that was indeed for Rica or for herself. Not everyone can be selfless but it is free and should be appreciated when they try to be one because it's NOT damn easy.
Knowing her past is not for her actions to be excused. It's called giving context and weighing in whether the reason and reaction match in weight. I'd say yeah, it checks out. Is it justified? Is it right? No, and the character recognizes that herself. Self-reflection and accountability is ALSO DAMN HARD TO DO and must be appreciated when one does it.
Idk why other people (fiction or irl) think they have this opinion of "forgiving" (or not) for the people who were done wrong. It's no one's place to do the forgiving but the actual person who was wronged. Rica ALWAYS chooses to forgive, even when she didn't have to, she chooses to abstain giving anything - A LOT OF PEOPLE SHOULD LEARN FROM THIS CHARACTER.
I'm quite satisfied...seeing Kwon Ido weeping and at the edge is satisfying. It wouldn't do Sejin any better to keep stalling because 1) he's also suffering and 2) Ido was preparing to off himself.
What I wanted Sejin to ask though was if Ido knew how they repeated their lives and/or how did Ido rest things (because maybe Ido knew or at least he'd tell how he died in the first timeline).
The original past is so tragic but man, I wish this was shown earlier, at least it wouldn't feel dragging.
Kyaaaah....I love the concept that it's not publicly known which empires are at the top of the tower! Rather which empire is ranked 1. They only know rank 2 onwards, if I'm correct. Next chapter is damn exciting.
It's pretty obvious Garon was supposed to be a character who was ruined by his childhood and is suppose to heal through Roha (because we now have a name). BUT the story lacked emphasis that he was trying to change or that he was already changing, before Roha escaped and during his abduction/imprisonment.
Other series with the EXACT SAME trope took their sweet time to drive home that this evil ML is capable of change. This however is rushed hence it does not make sense to choose Garon over Raon.
Hello what happened to pacing? It was such an annoying slow burn and now it feels like we're speeding through the plot. Jeeez
EDIT: SEASON FINALE. It was basically a trailer/teaser for the next season hence the pacing.
I get Ido as well. Ik he's dumb but at this point, in those three weeks, he was checking or fishing out what to do next. He thinks he is not deserving to beg for anything so he was just there for three weeks, making himself available. If Sejin ever gave a hint that he wanted Ido around, I think Ido would have stayed but he didn't sense/Sejin never gave hints. So Ido resigned to letting him go AGAIN. And honestly, I see Ido's point and agree on him now. It's all up to Sejin.
THE PLOT IS FINALLY MOVING YESSSSSS it's so thrilling that Jaeha thinks Sihyeon is crawling back to him! The satisfaction level expected for this revenge is HIGH.
