Okay, I may get a lot of hate for this and that's okay, but am I the ONLY one who doesn't like Jooyoung??? Like, REALLY doesn't like him?
I just can't get behind this guy who's encouraging his friend/ward to stay away from love and have meaningless sex, all the while pressuring him into trying to become a full-blooded vampire? Like, I get that the MC needs that sexual energy, but I somehow get the feeling that not having romantic feelings for the partner probably has a direct effect on essence absorption. And I'm all for not wanting your friend to go through emotional pain, but meaningless sex is NOT how to avoid pain, and looking at humans purely as food like Jooyoung says to is not cool. Also, few funny moments aside, he kinda comes across as a massive dick--and not in a good way.
"looking at humans purely as food" : you realise they are vampire ? pretty sure you don't look the meat or the vegetables you eat like potential love interest !
I know what you mean and I also don't like Jooyoung. When he first appeared I really hated him. I mean I know he is worried but it's the uke's life and he can decide for himself. After this chapter I like him a bit more (but still don't like him) since seme still doesn't give our uke his essence, so uke really should go look for someone else (even if only to make seme jealous).
Anyways I'm more pissed at of the seme bc why the hell doesn't he just fuck the uke after he clearly stated, he wanted to???
And letting him die will not make him fall for you (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Lol, I agree with most of this.
I do also get the seme's behaviour though--I think he's trying to make the MC interested by withholding the thing he wants and is trying to get to know him as a person. He's not aware of the seriousness of the situation.
However, I think he's getting there--he know's there's some abnormal reason that MC wants to sleep with him, and he DEFINITELY noticed how weird MC was about vampires and how he referred to people as "humans" as if he wasn't one of them.
So, we'll see :)
Yes I know but I still don't understand why the seme is not having sex with him...Tbh the uke could just go elsewhere to find someone to fuck him, so the seme should just give him what he wants and while doing that maybe get to know the uke better (?
(I guess in reality filling his belly with dick counts as filling it with food tho)
That sounds like a shitty relationship/viewpoint for someone who thinks he's dating the other person ( T﹏T ). I get what you mean, however I do also get the seme's behaviour though--I think he's trying to make the MC interested by withholding the thing he wants and is trying to get to know him as a person.
Though, to be fair, he totally would have had sex with MC in the most recent chapter, but the sister interrupted them ( ̄へ ̄).
I've read the raws so I know they will have sex in a few chapters but I'm still so worried about the uke. I mean he's looking worse and worse D:
If I was the seme I would try getting someone to like me by giving them what they want and by spoiling them so they would have to fall in love with me c: (I mean that probs wouldn't work in real life but shhhhh)
So, It was the MOTHER'S bloodline that allows her to see Dranste?! Very interesting, I actually didn't see that coming. I thought it was the faint fairy/spirit blood in her from her Royal daddy over there. I'm curious to see how this affects the story in the long-run
(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
I never expected that the author would introduce such a twist. I kinda had my suspicions when Dranste said the reason she could remember her past life was because of her blood and her pink hair was a sign of that, but Caitel's hair had a more similar color to hers than her mother's and he didn't remember anything about a past life (I know that Dranste didn't specifically say that everyone had a past life but I think he kind of implied it).
That's kinda the vibe I got from the curse as well :'(.
I hope that's not how it ends up panning out, or the curse gets broken somehow, etc. He's changed in a lot of ways since becoming Ria's father, and having the daughter he loved so much being the one to kill him?! Owch. Like, seriously, too cruel Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
I really really hate to say this :’(... but if a serial killer, brutally murders people in his past...is he innocent for all those deaths just because he one day gets a family and decides on a wim to not kill again?
I know this is a manga and don’t get me wrong, I like Caitel he’s an amazing complicated character, but it doesn’t change the facts in the story universe he was a really bad man...and a trying father... ╥﹏╥ I’m sorry don’t hate me!!
Goodness, why would I hate you?! I think you've definitely got a fair point.
I do think there's something to be said for forgiveness and that no one is beyond redemption and a second chance, but they should be genuinely remorseful and truly not want to do anything like that again (though most serial killers wouldn't feel this). Caitel changing on a whim certainly doesn't change everything.
But I feel like his situation is also different than being a serial killer going around murdering people. He's not getting off on killing people, he's the king of a conquering nation. His upbringing was seriously F'ed up and filled with politics, intrigue, his nanny and servants (the only people who really cared about him) being brutally murdered and him becoming a soldier and getting revenge--from what I gathered, his big change was in an effort to not be powerless like that again, and he's definitely aware of the terribleness of his actions (based on his relationship with/conversations with Asisi).
I'm definitely not condoning his actions, but I think there is a possibility for redemption for him beyond either dying or simply becoming nice on a whim :)
Can we be friends? ╥﹏╥ xD also I didn’t mean just you to hate me... I was maybe a little harsh with serial killer... but he kill others just because their trying to console him and he get annoyed like a child. Caitel is such a complicated character.. I love it!! ^_^ I agree with everything your saying. Especially with the scenes with Asisi... it obvious he sees Asisi as I sorta pure version of himself of some sort..
So, I've never read HnR and had never heard of it before, but there have been a lot of comments here about "if this ends like HnR Imma have a cow," so when I saw this I couldn't help but laugh:
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/tsubaki_chou_lonely_planet/bt/327815/Vol2_Ch2/27/
I just kept picturing all the HnR people being like, "TRIGGERED!!!" ヽ(`Д´)ノ
Lol, I think we have a troll here--there are 11 comments in a row with exactly 1 downvote, like someone just scrolled through and downvoted everyone ;p. Nice.
But for real, I loved this, I've read it 4 times already--I wish it could have been longer so we could see more of their relationship, but it had a good ending :)
THANK YOU!!! PLEASE CONTINUE!!! Doesn't matter if it's not official or if you can't get rid of the water marks--it's translated, and you've clearly put love into it :). As someone currently trying to do something similar with another manga (except it's me, google translate, and Paint) I know just how hard it is! So, again, thank you very much and please keep up the good work! We all really appreciate it ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
I'm translating from Spanish to English, so I think everything's pretty accurate and it's not difficult--just time consuming ;). You have my respect for tackling Korean without knowing how to speak/read it!
